A message from our Clerk: The Lehigh Valley Health Network has put out a call for baby monitors. They use these to reduce the amount of time medical personnel need to spend in patient rooms. If you have a baby monitor that you can donate, comment or message us here on FB. We'll try to arrange to pick it up and will deliver to the site on Moravian College's campus (a building porch) where these are being gathered. Thank you.

A message from our Clerk: We will NOT hold Meeting for Worship or First Day School at LVMM tomorrow, Sunday, March 15. Here is the complete message shared via email by the clerk: I'm writing to say that Christy Roysdon, clerk of LVMM's Care & Concern Committee, and I have decided to cancel Meeting for Worship and First Day School (and of course the planned brown-bag lunch) tomorrow, Sunday, March 15. This seems to us the prudent and responsible decision as we all hope to h...elp contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please know that I live five minutes from the Meetinghouse, and I am willing to be there for any of you who still feel a need to gather in the Meetinghouse space tomorrow. If this is important to you, let me know. Please also feel free to share important announcements, joys, and concerns with members of our community by writing to me here; if you send this information to me I will, with your permission, share it with our LVMM email distribution list. Remember, too, that we have an internal LVMM Friends Facebook group that you can join at any time; this is also a good way to share news with Friends. I'd like to suggest that we all spend time in quiet meditation tomorrow, perhaps at our regular time for Meeting for Worship. We can share the Light remotely as together we also hold all who are anxious and fearful, ill, or caring for those who are ill. Sending love and light to all, Joyce See more

Who is George Fox? "George Fox (July 1624[2] 13 January 1691) was an English Dissenter, who was a founder of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as the Quakers or Friends. The son of a Leicestershire weaver, he lived in times of social upheaval and war. He rebelled against the religious and political authorities by proposing an unusual, uncompromising approach to the Christian faith. He travelled throughout Britain as a dissenting preacher, often being persecut...ed by the disapproving authorities. In 1669, he married Margaret Fell, widow of a wealthy supporter, Thomas Fell; she was a leading Friend. His ministry expanded and he made tours of North America and the Low Countries. He was arrested and jailed numerous times for his beliefs. He spent his final decade working in London to organize the expanding Quaker movement. Despite disdain from some Anglicans and Puritans, he was viewed with respect by the Quaker convert William Penn and the Lord Protector, Oliver Cromwell." #FriendFriday

One of the many surprises about our meeting is our fresh local honey from Bear Honey Farms. The proprietors, Cliff Sunflower and Lois Biamon-sunflower, know bees.
Our Sunday overflow parking lot is at 3897 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA. There is a pathway cleared to the meetinghouse. It’s about 100 yards from lot to entrance.
