After much discussion, debate and sleepless nights, it is with a heavy heart that we share with all of the loyal Leon’s customers that we have decided to sell our property. This decision was not an easy one for us but we believe that it is in the best interest of our family at this time. As we have watched many of our beloved family and friends pass recently, we have looked at what the most important things in our lives are. Spending quality time with family has become our mo...st important priority. As our father did, we believe strongly that to effectively run a successful business, you have to be there day in and day out. With our other careers, it has become increasingly challenging to spend the amount of time we feel is necessary to be responsible and dedicated owners. The past 4 years since our father passed away has been a challenging time for us for a variety of reasons but it has also been a learning experience as we embraced the business that he loved so much. We met new friends and became re-acquainted with old ones, who all became a part of our extended family. We will be forever thankful for the loyalty that our patrons have shown us over the years. We also have to thank our dedicated employees. We could not have gotten through the past 4 years without their hard work! Their commitment and sacrifice made it possible for us to run the business since our fathers passing and to still maintain our careers. It is sad for us to leave especially at a time when the Pocono’s is showing so much promise. I truly believe we could have run a successful business for many years to come if we chose to do so but it’s not about the money at this point, it’s about quality of life. We have to remember that we are closing for all of the right reasons, FAMILY! Thanks for the memories! We will see you on the other side of the bar soon! Our last day in operation will be Saturday, June 9th 2018. We will have our 3rd annual customer appreciation day that day, so please come out and say good-bye! It is important to us that we show you all how much we appreciated your business over the year so please come out to share a laugh, a hug, a beer and of course some great food! Please understand that our intention is to remain open during normal operating hours between today May 18th and our last day June 9th but we may have to adjust our hours if our staff members decide to pursue other options during that time period.
