Hello Lewistown and surrounding areas. I know, today and possibly into the near future everything is uncertain. However, we do book many months in advance to make sure when this COVID storm passes that you have an inviting, warm and accessible place to hold your event. Call me, 717-994-4368. If you are just looking for suggestions, ideas, or perhaps to talk about rental fees, I am available to help. If I am not, please leave a message. There is no obligation to book even if we discuss your event.

Christmas is always a whirlwind, this year no different. Let's pause and reflect on how wonderful this time of year and Christmas Day are. Some of you have already started using the cell phone number to the Lewistown Community Center. To inform you the cell number is 717-994-4368. The landline is no longer functional, so you will get some kind of message from Verizon. I am looking forward to being of service to you in your event scheduling. I would be happy to either meet with you in person (masks required) or speak with you over the phone at 717-994-4368. My normal hours currently are 8:30-12:00 noon. Normally, Wednesday being my day off. The day off may fluctuate from time to time. I also record my hours for the week on the cell message. I will make special arrangements in either in person or phone if those times do not suit.

FALL IS IN FULL BLOOM! The mountains in Central Pa. are dotted with gorgeous colors. What a wonderful place to live and play. Update on the Annual Day of Caring. What an outstanding group of older and younger individuals that spent many hours "sparkling" our Community Center. I have no words for these men and women that volunteered to make not only our Community Center, but our Community a better place to live. Kudos to all that worked diligently to help! Thank You

Something great is happening at the Community Center. It is the Annual Day of Caring on September 16th. We have approximately 14 young adults coming to help sparkle our facility up a bit. We have been matched by the United Way with these young adults from the Calvary Bible Church. What a wonderful way of service to our community and to our Community Center. I am truly grateful for the team and am looking forward to working with them.

Last Official Day of Summer was yesterday. What do you have planned for fall fun? The Community Center is available! A new idea has come up. What about having your own exercise group? Why not rent the activity room and incorporate exercise, recipes and well being classes? We are available weekdays, as well as the weekends. Of course, it is first come, first serve. YOU CAN REQUEST ELECTRICITY FOR CROCK POTS, SMALL ELECTRIC GRILLS AND CD PLAYERS. THERE IS A PLAYGROUND SO CLOSE THAT YOUR CHILDREN CAN PLAY AS YOU WATCH THEM.
