Let's Go Play will be closed for the 4th of July. Have a happy and safe holiday everyone. See you in the office next week (lucky 7/11/20).

Players are trying to figure out how to avoid the monsters and they find a blue button. What is it? Will it help or unleash more monsters? Lots of discussion about strategy and predicting outcomes. Emphasis is on coming up with a plan with lots of unknown elements. Flexibility will be required.

The team continues to search the stage. They have found a blue button. What to do? What's it for? Team must negotiate and decide. Does it work in their favor or do create more problems? What will they do then? Continued communication and developing a strategy are all part of today's lesson.

In our current mission, the team must rescue a human from an alien boss monster who has multiple minions locked throughout the stage. Players have to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of those minions, as they are different from the usual monster forces that they have experienced. Communication with team members becomes really important. Staying together, instead of spreading out over the stage, could also help. On this level working as a team is very important.

Today, we got a very dear email from a former player, now a teenager, who moved away years ago. He loved the Heroes program. In the email, he thanked us for "helping him grow". He states: "I now have the ability to express my emotions productively and I owe much of it to you two." (Mr. Dan and myself). I can't tell you how much this email means to me and am humbled that we were helpful to him, although we were, I'm sure, a small part of the process. Thank you, E, for making my year!
