Staff and volunteers recently completed training on Hazardous Materials. This class is a yearly requirement for all staff and volunteers who work on LH EMS 911 response units. As pictured below, this yearly review includes the application and removal of different levels of PPE or Haz-Mat suits. This is just another example of how Lock Haven EMS is continually preparing to assist the residents and visitors of our great community!

What is better then being able to honor one crew for a cardiac arrest save? Being able to honor two crews! During the night tour on January 23, 2021 Paramedic Plessinger and EMT Brungard responded to a call for chest pain. During the course of treatment the patient suffered from a sudden cardiac arrest. Due to the professionalism and top notch care, the patient was talking again when the crew arrived at the hospital. Paramedic Plessinger and EMT Brungard were awarded the Cardic Arrest Save Uniform Bar.

RUCH has been found and is safe. Thank you to the community for your efforts in locating RUCH. This missing juvenile was originally reported by the City of Lock Haven Police Department on 2/26/2021. Any and all inquires regarding this case should be directed to the Lock Haven Police Department.

Lock Haven EMS is proud to present two of our own with the Cardiac Arrest Save uniform bar. During the daylight tour on December 22, 2020 our Primary MICU responded to a medical emergency in which the patient suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The skills and professionalism demonstrated by this crew directly resulted in the patients survival. The patient is due to be discharged from the Rehab Hospital within the next two weeks. This evening a total of 13 staff members received the first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at UPMC Susquehanna. This photo shows some of the cohort proudly showing their immunization records. Thanks to the pre-hospital staff from UPMC-Williamsport for immunizing our staff!
