We are feeling extra festive in our ugly holiday sweaters today! A huge thank you to all of our families who sent in yummy treats this week and to Mr. Steve for our holiday breakfast.

We’re on the nice list here at Lightbridge Academy of Allentown! The holidays look a little different this year, but Santa made sure to make a special stop this morning to say hello safely from the hallway.

The rain didn't stop us from picking our very own pumpkins at our indoor pumpkin patch today! Just one of the many benefits of having a large multipurpose room. Stay tuned for our classroom pumpkin decorating competition later this week!

Rain or shine we are ready for our pumpkin patch tomorrow! Thanks so much to Moyer’s roadside stand for all of our pumpkins for our kids!!

Hi, I'm Miss Felicia! I have been with Lightbridge Academy since our Grand Opening last year. I began teaching in the Mobile Infant classroom and now am with the Khaki Kangaroos! I graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor's in Business, but have since worked in pediatric home care for the Salvation Army with foster care. I have truly found my calling working in Preschool/child care. I have two wonderful children; Richie, my wild 4 year old and Emma, my sweet 3 month old. As a family we love playing video games, spending time with loved ones, and going on fun adventures! We are having a great school year so far!

One of the most important parts of our month are our staff meetings and trainings. It is important to the growth and success of our teachers and center. This month we decided to put a fun twist on things and turn our learning into a Jeopardy game! Our winning team enjoyed some Starbucks gift cards!

I’m Miss Destiny. I’m the Blue Horses lead teacher here at Lightbridge Academy! I have been with Lightbridge since we opened back up in June! I have been working with children for about 3 years, and I used to work summer camps back in New York! I have my degree in psychology, and I am going back to school for a masters in education. I am expecting a little girl in December. In my spare time, I like to read books, and write poetry. I love to teach because everyday is a new adventure in our classroom!

Our safety skills are on fire! During our fire prevention lessons this week we learned all about stop, drop & roll!

Hi everyone! My name is Miss Lea and I am a floater here at Lightbridge. I teach in all the different classrooms, which is the best because I get to spend time with all of your amazing children! I am a senior at Kutztown University, dual majoring in elementary and special education with a minor in Autism spectrum disorders. Over the weekends I work at Shankweiler’s Drive In, but in my small amounts of downtime I enjoy playing the guitar or any instrument I can get my hands on! I’m looking forward to seeing all of the students grow and prosper this school year!
