Note: Dr Lewis WILL NEVER do a convenience euthanasia because the owner didn't want to be bothered by a curable problem. Some owners have been furious with him for not compromising his values.. Some of our office cats were adopted by us with the owner's permission to care for in our clinic. Most of our clients are wonderful and understanding...it's that other percentage that breaks us after a while.

Suicide has skyrocketed among vet professionals and staff. Be kind to us...we are doing our best to help your pets. My staff has been left in tears by those few who have cursed at them for not being able to squeeze a non-emergency in, or had to cancel someone who was 14 minutes late. We have feelings too. We are trying to help your pets. Luckily we are blessed with 97% of clients who are kind, thoughtful and understanding; thank you for your kindness. Lhvc will reopen at tommorow afternoon, December 17th, at 2 pm for scheduled appointments. Hopefully that will give our plowing company a chance to dig us out. Please use care.

CLOSING AT NOON ON WEDNESDAY: REOPENING ??? We are watching the weather forecast carefully, and it looks like we're going to get slammed with a lot of snow this Wednesday. We have cancelled all morning surgeries and we are sending our staff home at NOON since some commute an hour away. Many of you have called us and cancelled and rescheduled already. As of now, we are watching Wednesday night to make a determination about Thursday. We are sorry for any inconvenience, and remember PETS stays open always for emergencies. Please stay tuned. Be safe.
