Liquid Therapy Diving took a bit of a hiatus in 2018, due to lack of funding and the closing of our sponsor dive shop which provided free access to an indoor pool. We need your help to locate a new pool in the Delaware County, PA area or contacts to assist with gaining access to the Ft McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst pool at the base. An indoor pool for year round training would be ideal, the lower the cost the better. We have researched most of the public rental options at the lo...cal Y’s, schools, etc and they are simply too expensive or have very limited availability. Please spread the word and email us at [email protected] with any contacts or recommendations. In addition, we are launching a few products on Amazon as fundraisers, more to come in the near future!
Liquid Therapy Diving, Inc is now registered as a charity on Amazon! Please click on the link below to select us as your charity and .5% of your purchases will be donated to us quarterly. Please share this post with your friends and people who are not on Facebook, although it is only a small %, the more people who select us, the bigger the impact will be to our program. Thank you, Donna Raleigh Founder
Liquid Therapy Diving thanks our Veterans for their service today and all year round!
Congratulations to Dakota, Active Duty Air Force, for earning his Open Water Certification this past weekend! Although it was in the mid 90's on land, it was only 56 at 60 feet and visibility ranged from about 20 to under 5 feet in areas. Dakota did a great job planning and leading his graduation dive! For more information on how to support us or if you are a Veteran/Active Duty interested in learning to scuba dive for FREE, visit us at www.liquidtherapydiving.org
Awesome day with Josh, 3 play dives! Josh saw several new attractions, the plane, trolley, crane and got to practice several skills, he did great! Thanks Harry, for joining us and taking pics!
Awesome weekend with all Air Force students! Dakota completed his Confined Water Training and we introduced Jeremy and Paul to scuba diving! Check out the pics to learn more about their experience :) If you are active duty or a veteran and always wanted to learn to scuba dive, check out how to try it and enroll in classes for FREE at www.liquidtherapydiving.org. ... If you are already certified, join us on July 1 and 2 for some fun dives at Dutch Springs and buddy up with some other service members! Proof of service and advance notice to join us required, email [email protected] for more info.
Attention OIF/OEF/OND Veteran Scuba Divers! Dan Houlihan, Navy Veteran from Operation Blue Pride is conducting a survey for his thesis on the impact of diving to Veterans. Participants get a $20 Amazon Gift card! Divers already know all the benefits of diving and anecdotally we believe there is a positive impact to Veterans from self reports, but this is a great opportunity to help gather quantitative data. ... Information attached :)
I met the founders of Warhorse Scuba at BTS and they have a similar mission to ours! Looks like a great event!
My students and military friends sometimes share about the buddies they lost while serving or since they returned. I think about those stories more often this weekend every year. The sentiment "Freedom isn't Free" is one of our founding principles and what inspires us to do what we do as an organization.
We had a packed weekend with John (Army Vet) and Josh (Air Force Vet) doing their Confined Water training AND 4 Discover Scuba pool sessions with John and Kevin (Army Vets), Dakota (Active Duty Air Force) and Alex (Marine Vet)! These guys all did a great job! Part of the fun for me is watching their reactions after their first breaths underwater, the expressions on their faces look like they have discovered a new superpower :) I know it's going to be a fun session when bud...dy teams show up together and I can see I am going to have to separate a few of them to keep their shenanigans in check ;) If you are a veteran or active duty and interested in learning to scuba dive for free, check out how to get started on www.liquidtherapydiving.org. If you are interested in supporting us so we can continue this awesome mission, donations can be made by paypal on our website. We are a 501(3)c, so all donations are tax deductible.
