"I can’t say enough good things about Lititz Bike Works! We got two adult bikes + a kiddos bike for late Christmas presents. The owner took good care of us, answered all of our questions and sent us out the door ready to ride (He even helped load the bikes into the truck, what a gentleman). A great shop for experienced riders and people just getting into cycling." says Jasmine on Google
"I love the staff expertise I just finished a 47 mile ride on wet and gritty roads. Im generally bad keeping my bike clean, but I thought I'd stop in and ask if they had recommendations. He showed me a way to clean both the bike and the chain simply and well. He also convinced me not to use a powerwasher for reasons I'd never have guessed. Every time I shop here I have a great experience." says Ned on Trip Advisor
Bikeworks will close at 4pm today and reopen Saturday, January 2nd at 9am. Can we take a sec to thank you? There's no way around it - 2020 was hard. But 2020 was also amazing, because in 2020 we came together. We saw that our neighbors needed help, and we showed up. This summer, our Small Business Slow Ride encouraged folks to spend money in our coolest little town, and rewarded participants with gift certificates to further support local shops and restaurants.... We were bummed that we couldn't do our annual free youth clinics in person, but we created weekly videos and had some fun along the way. Thanks for tuning in! Together with Mainspring of Ephrata and WellSpan Health, we opened up a bike share on the Ephrata side of the WERT Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail, giving tourists and residents alike a great way to enjoy our area. We teamed up with Ephrata Area Social Services and, through our Cranksgiving ride, helped donate nearly 18,000 pounds of food and several thousand dollars to local families in need. Our Merry Little Community Drive gave 10 local kiddos a magical Christmas, and provided their parents with gift certificates to local grocery stores. We do our best to protect the families' identities, but we want you to know there were tears of appreciation. You warmed hearts and lifted worries this holiday. And, finally, we matched gift certificates and as a shop donated over $2,000 in gift certificates to local restaurants (and still counting). So, yes, 2020 was hard, but it was also a year of giving and growth. You've inspired us to be better and do better and you've reminded us over and over again how darned lucky we are to work and live in this generous community. Thank you. xoxo
Warmest wishes for peace and good health from The Bikeworks Crew.
"Amazing bike shop! I stopped by for a basic tune up and a readjusting of my front derailleur on my road bike, and they had it all fixed up the next day! I highly recommend Lititz Bike Works- such friendly staff as well as a quick and effective shop for repairs!" says Jacob on Google
So excited to start 2021 with ya’ll, and excited to announce we received a new shipment of kids bikes and adult cruisers (in super cool colors). Our new friends Natalie and Elaina just took home these 24 Specialized Rip Rocks, paired with some rad matching helmets. Wishing them, and you, a healthy, happy, adventurous New Year!
"Needed Bike Share Information Our family is coming up from Montgomery County and wanted to rent bikes for the Warwick to Ephrata Rail Trail. We weren't sure of all of the logistics, so we called the shop. Eric answered all of our questions and gave us additional details which helped us plan our day. Many thanks and Happy New Year, Eric." says KE on Trip Advisor
Meet Julia and Kelly! These riders both chose the Specialized Diverge, and we can’t blame them. Ideal for smooth roads or gravel, this bike is the ultimate in comfort, even for the longest rides. Enjoy every mile, friends! . . #iamspecialized #specializeddiverge #diverge #rideyourbike
From our family to yours, Merry Christmas. This morning, because of so many of you, local kids are waking up to piles of presents under their trees. Thank you. Hands down, the best part of this business is you.
"Just waiting for my bike. Ordered on line and was called right away about the order. I can provide a better review once I get it. So far so good ." says Arne
"Friendly but to the point, my business was taken care of promptly." says Charles
"Perfect equipment, knowledgeable staff, and a joyful expereince This is THE place in Eastern U.S. to get a bike. They know what they are selling, only sell the best, and consider you as an individual. Additionally, they service what they sell with concern and exactness. The employees and owner are not only knowledgeable and trustworthy, they are caring and involved community members. from making sure bike trails.." says Thomas on Trip Advisor
Wanna know our favorite thing about bicycles? They’ve brought the best people into our lives, like Marylee. She’s wildly intelligent, immeasurably kind, and thanks to bicycles, a treasured friend. This weekend, Marylee rode with us for Cranksgiving, and then took home a bonus bike. We’re sure this SirrusX is gonna be ideal for some upcoming adventures. We hope it’s as good to you as you are to us, Marylee! #newbikeday #sirrusX #specialized #lititzbikeworks
You guys, your hearts are so good. The response to our Merry Little Community Drive has been amazing. A highlight? One of our favorite local cyclists, head of the awesome Bike to 30k Program, Tia Carter, made super cool custom stockings for each child. Bikeworks filled them with art supplies, warm gloves, and some sweet treats. Bonus? We’ve been able to give out over $700 in gift certificates to local restaurants. 2020 may have been hard, but your hearts are showing us just how good we have it. Thank you all! . . #smallbusinessbighearts #shoplocal #buylocal #lititzpa

Can we all give Rick Millham some love? He wins the prize for the biggest Cranksgiving donation - with over $2300 in food and supplies for Ephrata Area Social Services. A $450 gift certificate to Lititz Bikeworks is our way of saying thank you to Rick. Thanks to ALL of YOU who donated! Here are some numbers for the day: OVER $13,000 in total donations (not everyone reported what they spent, so I’m guessing this number is quite low) - that’s about 8 TONS of food and supplies!... . Yesterday we showed what it looks like to choose each other, to choose kindness, and to give back to a community that’s hurting. Our hearts are full. Ephrata Area Social Services, thank you, endlessly, for showing up every single day for folks in need. See more
You guys! Look what we did. Together. Every year I’m moved to tears. Every year I end this day filled to the brim with hope and love. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
So much of 2020 has been hard, but this, this is so good. Cranksgiving 2020 is underway, and already, our truck overfloweth... #cranksgiving #lititzbikeworks
Tomorrow's the BIG day! We just marked the Cranksgiving course and, friends, it's beautiful! We did have to make some changes, so please make sure you have the most updated route before you ride (we will have cue sheets at sign-in and the roads are marked). Here's a link to what we're pretty sure is the world's most beautiful Cranksgiving route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31124364
"Brought in my bike that has been in bad shape for a while. Staff were super helpful and brought it back to tip top shape. Also was very responsible in cost!!" says Andrew on Google
The countdown to Cranksgiving continues! I just spoke to the awesome folks at Ephrata Area Social Services, and below is a list of what they need most. If Saturday comes and you find you can't ride, or if you want to be involved, but don't want to ride, simply head to Weiser's Market Lititz, Weis Markets, or Martin's Country Market in Ephrata before 4pm on Saturday, purchase items off the list, and drop them in the Cranksgiving donation pile. We'll come get them and deliver t...hem directly to EASS. Another option? Write a check to EASS and mail it directly to them, or drop it at the shop by 4pm Saturday. Any little bit helps. THANK YOU! Canned veggies Canned fruit Pastas / Spaghetti sauce Canned meats Rice Pancake Mix Basic baking ingredients are always welcome, as well as spices and condiments Soups NonFood Items things EASS ALWAYS needs because SNAP (Food Stamps) does not cover these items: Laundry detergent Cleaning supplies Paper towels Toilet paper Tissues Toiletries (soap, shampoo/conditioner) Dental hygiene products Feminine hygiene products
Letters like these are why our Cranksgiving ride benefits Ephrata Area Social Services. Thank you, EASS, for all the caring you pour into our community.
They roll in, and they roll right out! Brand new Specialized mountain bikes are arriving weekly at Bikeworks - like these new Rockhoppers and Fuses. If this year has taught us anything, it’s that a ride through the woods does wonders to ease a worried mind. Not that these two are spending any time worrying. They’re too busy shredding...
Everyone, meet Dylan! He’s ready to get shreddy on his brand new Jamis Komodo. Enjoy the ride, Dylan! . #jamiskomodo #mtb #optoutside #newbikeday #lititzbikeworks
Retired US Air force Veteran, Rick, just moved to the area and is WAHOO over the new Axis trainer and Kickr climb. He was able to demo both units in our Wahoo Studio, paired with Zwift, before taking the leap. Want to demo one for yourself? Give us a call, we are open from 10-2 today. Rick, thank you, so much, for your service. . . #wahoo #kickr #zwift #lititzbikeworks
One week! One week until we ride, until we come together to cover our community in kindness. Next Saturday, Bikeworks will host our 7th Annual Cranksgiving Event. This year, it'll look a little different. We'll do a rolling start to keep everyone separated and safe, and we'll work harder than ever to give back to a community that's been weathering a tough year. Wanna help but not able to ride? Simply head to one of the participating grocery stores next Saturday, by 4pm - Wei...s Markets in Lititz, Martin's Country Market in Ephrata or Weiser's Market Lititz - purchase food, cleaning supplies, and/or paper products, and place them in the Cranksgiving donation area. Or, mail a monetary donation to Ephrata Area Social Services and mention Cranksgiving in the memo. Even the tiniest bit helps! Thanks all. Looking forward to coming together and caring together. xoxo
