The primary job function is delivery of new equipment and pickup and delivery of equipment for service. ... Must maintain a clean driving record and DOT Medical Card required to retain employment. Must have a positive attitude and interact well with customers and employees. Must have good computer skills. Must have ability to push and pull lawn and garden equipment weighing up to 400 lbs. on any terrain. Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs. Essential duties include but not limited to: Operating vehicles to transport equipment for our dealership. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: To provide quality customer service while assessing the customer’s needs, taking orders, finding the products, and invoicing. The parts person must also provide support to the service and sales departments in a team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Customer Service: Evaluate the customers’ needs and provide a solution Utilize all available resources to find the correct parts (Internet, books, phone calls) Finalize transactions with credit card, cash, or check. Assist sales and service departments with parts look-ups Unload, check-in, and receipt parts deliveries Maintain Stock and appearance of Showroom SKILLS: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multi-task and continue to provide a high level of customer satisfaction in a busy environment Detail oriented Computer Literacy comfortable using standard desktop applications and Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, etc), able to navigate or quickly learn to use Point Of Sale Software, and appropriately utilize research functions on the internet Basic knowledge of lawn and garden equipment and function PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently moves parts weighing up to 50 pounds Ascend/descend stairs with parts Remain in stationary position for extended periods We offer competitive wages as well as an affordable medical insurance plan.
