The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Western PA & WV Chapter 11.05.2021

Congratulations to Maggie Lowden & Stephanie Spina of Team LLS All-Stars for being selected as our 2021 Community Involvement Award recipient. These girls left no stone unturned scheduling sponsorship and personal ask meetings just about every week of the campaign, held events at their high school, and rallied their team to share the mission of LLS. They truly embodied what it means to involve your community in their efforts of Students of the Year. #SOY4LLS #BeatingCancerIsInOurBlood

Congratulations to Team CUREageous Crew for raising over $80,000 for the LLS mission as our runner-up team! Neena Pietropaolo from Fox Chapel High School and Bella Henzler from Hampton High School ran their campaign in memory of Neena’s grandfather who had CLL. Neena and Bella rallied their friends & family in support of their team and it truly paid off! This team proved that when people come together you can achieve great things! HUGE congratulations to Neena & Bella & Team CUREageous Crew! #SOY4LLS

Congratulations to Team Sawyer for raising over $100,000 and being named the Pittsburgh Students of the Year Winners! Landen Rebholz, Ellis Rebholz, and Avery Rebholz are three brothers from Riverside High School who formed Team Sawyer in honor and memory of their oldest brother Sawyer. Sawyer was just five years old when he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and ultimately lost his battle. His brothers were determined to fundraise as much as possible in his memory and we congratulate them on their success! #SOY4LLS #Beatingcancnerisinourblood
