Dear Lubavitch Center Members, We are very pleased to announce that Lubavitch Center minyanim will resume this coming Wednesday at Mincha time, 8:30 pm, in the main Shul. Seating will be limited to 25 men on the ground level and 9 men on the balcony. Shacharis will be at 7:00 am and 9 am this Thursday and Friday; 8:30 am and 10:30 am on Shabbos; and 8:00 am and 9:30 am on Sunday. Future times will be announced later. Registration for all minyanim is a pre-condition ...for attendance and can be made at the following site: https://forms.gle/iGfYpUbefzbPCXT8A . Seats will be filled by registration on a first come, first serve basis. Please wait for confirmation of registration before attending. After consultation with our Physician’s Committee, the advice of our Lubavitch Center Re-entry Task Force, and the psak of our Rav, we have developed the following initial plan for the safe resumption of minyanim: 1. Attendees must maintain safe social distancing of at least 6 feet. The seating plan maximizes our ability to maintain such distance. Therefore, please keep the seats and tables where you find them. 2. Hand sanitizer must be used upon entry. Please do not gather around the hand sanitizer stations. 3. Masks must be worn at all times in Shul. If you are uncomfortable wearing a mask, it is best that you stay home for the time being. 4. Unfortunately, we must temporarily restrict attendance to individuals 13 years old and above. 5. Those who are over age 65 are strongly discouraged from attending minyanim during this time and should consult with their PCP and Rabbi Rosenfeld before attending. 6. Minyanim will start promptly, and everyone is asked not to socialize after davening. 7. Individuals who are sick, who have an underlying medical condition, or who have recently been in close proximity to someone with Covid-19, must not come to Shul under any circumstances. 8. Everyone should bring their own Sidder to Shul, including on Shabbos if one uses the eruv on Shabbos. 9. There should be no kissing of the Torah or the mezzuzas. 10. Anyone who is concerned about the safety of returning to Shul should not feel any halachic obligation to attend a minyan during this period, including for yahrtzeits and aveilus. All of these conditions will be subject to frequent review and modification as the COVID-19 situation evolves. We hope that the attendees’ adherence to these conditions and a subsidence of the COVID-19 danger will permit the lessening of restrictions in the following weeks. Ultimately, this is a halachic decision guided by our Rav with input from experienced physicians and advice from our Re-Entry Task force, to whom we are so grateful. The decision is one based upon our Shul, our space, our membership, our love for each other, and our concern for the safety of every single one of our members in these uncertain times.
