When you are on #quarantine life day 984780, you finally take a picture to show your #instagram (and #facebook) friends you are alive and well. During this quarantine life I’ve learned a few things, 1 @bj_durch24 and I get along really well. 2 @novellas_life love Brian more then me. 3 Other then dog hair (which I mean, isn’t going anywhere), our house is clean and tidy. 4 I still have a good budget and haven’t completely lost my mind. 5 I stay positive. Times are super scary right now, can you imagine being a nurse? A lot of hospitals are in need of many things that some of us aren’t able to help out with but here is one way we can help out! I want to donate as many pairs as possible to our local hospital, so that nurses can put them on under their scrubs, change in the car, garage, anything so they don’t have to take their dirty scrubs inside the house. This may seem silly, but it is super important speaking this virus li...ves on surfaces! If you would like to donate a pair, it is $5 and I will bag them up and have them dropped off at our local hospital. I’d love to take as many as I can! For every pair you donate I will match! For the past few years I’ve always picked a word for that year. Why? Because it made me think about what I was doing. When I would say no (past word of the year) it honestly felt good because I knew I wasn’t being mean, I was just living my truth and standing my ground. Last years word was #intentional. Such a powerful word with so much meaning. I was very intentional about me as a person, my relationship and my work life. It also felt good knowing I was doing things ...with purpose behind them. We are going into a new decade and I knew I wanted a word that meant more then past. This years word is reconnect. Why reconnect? Because sometimes you lose sight of what’s important in life. Family is important. Relationships are important. Jesus is important. Everyday we get up and go through the motions of life. For me it’s running a business, working, being a good sister, girlfriend, friend, dog mom, etc. Today this sweet friend, Dee came up to me at church and said, do you know when I see you, you make my day. When you post, it’s positive and you just make my day. She also continued to say, when you didn’t see me for awhile you reached out and that she knew she needed to come back to church. If you don’t know me, it doesn’...t take much for me to cry.... so at this point I was crying. You see, you never know who’s watching you from a distance. I see Dee week in and week out, we always chat and I never knew the impact I was making to her. It’s the holiday season, if someone has been on your heart or mind, reach out to them.
