Happy New Year! I hope your new year is starting off on the right "paw". I just wanted to pass on some important information. It seems "Old Man Winter" has returned. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page or turn to 69 WFMZ (via tv or online) for information regarding delayed office openings, early office closures, or office closings in general. I will get the information out there as soon as I possibly can. With the new phone system in place, I cannot change the pre-re...corded "menu" to reflect any kind of changes in our business hours. I can, however, change the voicemail message. Should there be inclement weather, I will TRY to change that message from home for those who might not have access to the internet or tv. When you call in press "1" and after a few rings the voicemail should come on. We all know that technology works when it feels like it, so I would urge you to go online rather than try to call. I know for sure I will be able to post it on Facebook and on the news station, the voicemail I can't guarantee. Beginning Friday, January 21st our office will return to our normal Friday hours. The office will be open Fridays from 7am to 3pm for food and medication pickups. The doctor and technician will be available to see appointments from 8am to noon. That's all folks! Unfortunately, at this time, our office is currently closed following a Covid 19 positive exposure. We anticipate our office to re-open Thursday December 16th, 2021 after appropriate cleaning and disinfecting have been carried out. Due to supply issues, we no longer carry Heartgard and Nexgard. Most of our patients have been transitioned over to Simparica Trio. One monthly chew that protects against heartworm, intestinal parasites, fleas, and ticks. For those clients who still prefer to due a monthly heartworm pill and a monthly flea and tick, we still offer Interceptor Plus, Credelio, and Bravecto. Not sure which option is right for your pet? Let's chat about it. We have had 3 heartworm positive dogs in our clinic in the last couple years. It is in our area. Please keep them protected!

Good morning. I hope everyone is doing well. The purpose of this email is to send an update about the 443 construction. I'm sure most of you have been through Lehighton recently but some of you may not have. Needless to say, it's a mess! Once you get through the light by Pizza Hut, there is a lane shift and there are also concrete barriers in what used to be the west bound lane. This lane shift continues all the way almost to Walmart. Since they have moved the traffic...e into a different lane, all of the turning lanes are now gone. So...the traffic light by Giant is REALLY holding things up. If people are trying to make a left to turn into the shopping center, you better hope that the green arrow stays green long enough for everyone turning to get through. Crews are doing work at night as well. I am not sure what time exactly that starts, but I know when I leave here after 7 or 8, I've sat and waited sometimes 20 minutes. On my way in at 6:30am crews are also still working. Tuesday we sat what felt like forever (really it was about 15 minutes) and alot of folks including a school bus, decided to make a u turn instead of waiting. So.....here is the real "meat" to this email. If you need to take 443 West to get to our clinic either leave EXTRA, EXTRA early or find an alternate route! We understand there is traffic and sometimes life happens and causes delays, but we are on a very strict schedule. It is one thing if we are running behind due to sick pets, but we absolutely CANNOT wait for people to get here. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we are still partially curbside and patience is getting very thin for those waiting in their cars. The warmer temps are right around the corner and no one wants to sit in a hot car with their pet longer than necessary. Hopefully this project gets finished sooner than later.
