Join us, May 5th! Are you looking to make a difference? MWA invites any woman in the local area to join us in serving our community. We welcome your experience, enthusiasm, ability, and leadership. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm, currently online via Zoom. Dues are just $30 per year. MWA supports programs that benefit both the local community and worthy humanitarian organizations. We choose Annual Beneficiaries each July through a membership nominating and voting process. Service Project Spotlight: Adopt A Highway MWA provides the Lower Makefield Township (LMT) roads department with our volunteer effort to keep the highways clean. MWA members maintain a 3 mile stretch of roadway in LMT. Four to six times a year (weather permitting) members patrol this portion of road and pick up litter. Our highway is Edgewood Road in Lower Makefield Township. PennDot has recognized us with a sign at the intersection of Edgewood and Makefield Roads in the Township. MWA has served as the sponsor of this portion of the roadway for over 20 years. MWA chooses Annual Beneficiaries each year through a membership nominating and voting process. For the last 35 years, Makefield Women’s Association has served our local community with fundraisers and support projects that benefit the heart of our community. We are a diverse group of women who believe in getting hands-on with the organizations we support, listening to their needs, assisting them with volunteerism, and putting our fundraising strength in place to support them. Beneficia...ries are selected each year through a voting process, any 501 3(c) can be nominated by a member. In the last 10 years, we have donated over $200,000 to our non-profits thanks to the support of you!
