Manna Community Meal

A BIG "thank you" to our dear friends at A & S Federal Credit Union for the great t-shirts for our volunteers plus a VERY generous cash donation towards a meal sponsorship at Manna Community Meal! They are always there for us and what the t-shirt says is true...they really do serve the community with kindness!! We appreciate you!!!

Don't forget - Clothing Cupboard this Saturday from 9:30am - 11am! Masks required! Many people ask about donating. We can accept Fall and Winter clothing only at this time, but it is greatly appreciated. Please come during clothing cupboard hours (second Saturday of the month between 9:30 - 11am) to drop off, or on Thursdays between 9a - 2p to the small porch at House of Prayer. When dropping on the porch, please ring the white doorbell at the brown double doors on the porch to alert our office manager that there is a drop off being made so that she can bring the clothing inside. No need to wait!! Thank you!!

The Christmas spirit was alive and well at Manna Community Meal last night! Enjoy the faces and places of kindness that served over 225 in our community on a cold and blustery Western Pennsylvania evening! A big thank you to: Our sponsoring partner last night - Bob Yoswick and the Beaver Valley South Rotary Club - for 100 delicious Beyond Parsley Catering pasta dinners!! We are grateful for you and for ALL of the good work that the Rotary does in our community! Our Mann...a Chefs, who worked hard to supplement with 125 more pasta dinners! We appreciate your cooking skills and your generous hearts! All. Of. The. Bakers. - we put out a plea for cookie help and our baking community came through big time!!! In an effort to not miss anyone, I just thank you all - you know who you are, and you are WONDERFUL!! We will still be accepting cookie donations throughout December to help with Manna desserts! Please pm if you can help! Our dear friends Peg and Jim Bishop, for delivering the BIG donation of bread for distribution last night. You guys make the world a kinder place!! Our amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the wheels turning each week. You make it look easy - we know it's not and we are grateful!! Our friend Judy Barilaro who makes every week Christmas! Thanks, Judy, for the great candles that were enjoyed by all!! Our awesome, giving community who remember Manna often with generous cash donations. These donations enable us to cook supplemental food when needed, purchase the great Brunton Dairy milk that we gave out last night (thanks to wonderful delivery guy, Ed!), as well as the Aldi gift cards that we were able to share. Every penny donated goes to helping those in need and we thank you for your generosity! Our friends at 412 Food Rescue for the great delivery of bread and sweets that we were able to share! and most especially.... Our guests. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces and sharing a kind word with each and every one of you. Join us next week when our Manna Chefs will be back at it, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen - tummies and hearts will be FULL!!! <3 <3 <3
