Happy Chinese New Year! Chinese students at Mansfield University ushered in the Year of the Tiger with a meal made from traditional ingredients, sauces, and ...snacks. The supplies were provided by Dr. Brad Lint, who coordinates the MU-China Exchange program, and Dr. Shelly Xiaoxuan Ji, assistant professor of business administration. The new year began at midnight on Feb. 1 in China which was 11 AM EST in Mansfield.

Students in Dr. Lint's Web & Social Media Writing class took a trip to North Hall for a VR Lab experience last Friday! This trip followed discussion on how virtual reality will affect our lives in the future in addition to social media as technology evolves. #MansfieldEWL #DreamBig #LoveMU

Jessie Thompson and Lilace Guignard coproduced a show called Woodpecker Lips, for the 2021 Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project. The show features 12 original monologues written this year by local women. The show will be held at the Warehouse Theater in Wellsboro at 7:30 on October 29 and 30, and November 5 and 6. Make sure to come out and support these local women and their work!

MU Alumni & Professor Marissa Scott was featured on Grant Chungo’s Mornings in Corning segment on WETM 18 news on October 15th to talk about her artwork and puppet show that she started with her boyfriend. As the semester draws to a close, let's take a moment to sit back and appreciate the hard work everyone's put in this semester. Distancing has made things difficult, but everyonestudents and faculty alikegave it their all to ensure we were successful. Sarah Bogdan (BA English - Professional Writing '20) and colleagues in the MA TESOL program at IUP were recently awarded a grant for a collaborative study on critical pedagogy. Way to go, Sarah!

A congratulations to Graham Wooden and Scott Woodring for winning the MU Cornhole Competition! Their team name was Little Seagull Handbook: a nod to the course material for Dr. Pifer's Comp 1 class, which both students are a part of. Well done!
