We have an immediate opening for a daytime resident aide to join our care team. Resident care aides play an integral part in providing quality, compassionate care to our residents, including helping with routine tasks of daily living. We've just rolled out a new Weekend Warrior program. Aides who commit to working full time on both Saturdays and Sundays and do so for three out of four weekends per month will be compensated for 24 hours instead of 16. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps will be here in their dress blues at 4 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, October 1, to properly retire the aging American flag on the pole outside our main entrance. Following the ceremony, they will string up a new American flag to fly over our grounds. Please join us outside on a beautiful fall day for this special patriotic event. Please wear a mask and respect social distancing.

Happy Fall, ya'll! With the fall solstice upon us today, our residents got crafty by creating these colorful autumn wreaths to decorate their doors.

Manicures and music were in order today for our residents in the Marian Hall Lounge. Karen Vevers, activities director, gathered some of the ladies to have their nails done while enjoying the musical stylings of Tony Bennett and others. Here, Karen adds a splash of color for Dorothy Hayson. As in any beauty shop, there was plenty of fun conversation. "We look so nice, we need someplace to go tonight," another resident said.
