The IRS sends out letters first, not email or phone calls. Don't fall for it!

The IRS is saying up to 21 days to process a direct deposit refund. On the average, I have usually seen them take much less. With the new tax law changes and government shutdown, it's not surprising news. Plan ahead if you are depending on your tax refund.
