A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the following central Pennsylvania counties; Cameron, Clearfie...ld, Elk, McKean, Northern & Southern Centre, Northern & Southern Clinton, Northern & Southern Lycoming, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga and Union. This Winter Storm Watch includes the following cities or towns; Arnot, Blossburg, Bradford, Clearfield, Covington, Coudersport, DuBois, Emporium, Gaines, Galeton, Keeneyville, Laporte, Lewisburg, Lock Haven, Mainesburg, Mansfield, Middlebury, Morris, Morris Run, Philipsburg, Renovo, Ridgway, Selinsgrove, St. Marys, State College, Trout Run, Wellsboro and Williamsport. The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from noon Friday, January 1, 2021, through late Friday evening. Significant freezing rain, beginning as a brief period of sleet or snow. Around one quarter of an inch of ice is possible, after a light coating of snow or sleet. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Remember there is the potential for significant winter weather that could impact travel. If you have to travel please remember to carry a blanket, flashlight with batteries, snacks, water and a fully charged cell phone in case of an emergency.
