What’s up Marlins Families?!? Hey, you remember that time when we had Covid come along and like cancel EVERYTHING and stuff? Yeah.. that was crazy Boy oh boy Team, we miss you like Antonio Brown misses a paycheck! We wanted to send out a brief note to let you all know that we are getting close to having a plan for the upcoming season. Obviously, it’s been a bit of a challenge due to constantly changing circumstances and we have been meeting regularly to put together a ...safe and comprehensive program for the year. Our intention is to have the swimmers in the pool shortly after the start of the school year, and we are making some real positive progress towards this goal. So, what does this mean for you? Simply, be ready to move quickly to register once we give the green light. We will be producing a lot of information in a quick period of time, and we don’t want anything to be missed. We will continue to communicate through email and Facebook and we will be planning a parent information meeting in the very near future. We are thinking a Zoom meeting at this point but will have more details to follow on that. As it stands, we are in a very positive and encouraging position. So, we know you have been hearing a similar message a lot lately, but here it is: This is definitely an unprecedented time for all of us. The Marlins are committed to providing a safe and enriching experience for your swimmers, as well as abiding by the health regulations of our partnership with Gateway school district. It may take us a bit to get it exactly right, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, if you have any questions, reach out to a board member or coach via email or Facebook. We’ll do our best! So, basically, in summary, LET’S GET THESE KIDS IN THE DAGGONE POOL! GO MARLINS!!!

Monroeville Marlins lets get back in the water!! Summer swim programs are wrapping up, but you don't have to. Register TODAY at monroevillemarlins.com, swim TOMORROW! August/September Session! As you may or may not know, we have had the older kids in the water practicing since early June. Well its time to add some more swimmers Beginning tomorrow and running the whole month of August and as far into September as we can, we will open up the pool to any 8 and up swimmer. ...If you have an exceptional 7 year old, please state your case to the coaches for inclusion. Here is what we are doing Location: Haymaker Pool, 106 Penn Lear Dr, Monroeville, PA 15146 Price is $80 per swimmer for the entire session. - 8 to 12 year olds Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8-9:30am We may add Saturday mornings if pool space is available. We will assess that next weekend. Also, some of the youngest swimmers may only swim the first hour or so depending on ability. Again, coaches will monitor this. - 12 and ups, including high school and college swimmers Monday thru Thursday 7-8:30pm Friday 8-9:30am Saturday 9-11am This group is subject to practice moving to the mornings on days when Haymaker has its pool reserved in the evenings. We put out an email each Sunday with that weeks practice plan. But otherwise we stick to the times above. You may have noticed that 12 year olds are in both groups. Coaches will asses ability and also swimmers availability for practice so we may have some in morning practice and some at evening practice. We are really trying to be aware of each swimmers ability and readiness to increase thier practice time and load. We will continue to follow the Covid rules in place for the kids already in the water. All parents are to remain outside the pool fence. They can observe from the parking lot. We only allow coaches, swimmers and pool staff on deck. For the last month and a half we have been sharing our pool time with WHAT (Woodland Hills Aquatic Team). Our two teams have blended well and it is a benefit to both team’s swimmers to have the additional coaching on deck. This will continue in this session. To be brutally honest, we dont know if Gateway will allow us to swim this fall or not, so lets not miss this opportunity to swim. MONROEVILLEMARLINS.COM Go Marlins!!
