I've seen such amazing acts of kindness over the last several weeks. Pittsburghers certainly know how to pull together when faced with a challenge. Keep up the positive attitude, stay safe and healthy. Is it time for a frozen coffee yet Martians?? Walk-up window hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday - Saturday until further notice.

The Mars Brew House wishes everyone the very best handling the health challenges we may face concerning the Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus). As you are all probably aware, public schools throughout the Commonwealth will be closed temporarily per governor Tom Wolf starting next week. Because of the governor's decision, and with an abundance of caution in support of the medical authorities goals for social distancing within communities, the Mars Brew House will begin to limit its... hours of operation with walk-up window service only which will be available Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting March 16th to coincide with these announced school closures. These temporary changes will remain in effect until the Mars Area School District re-opens its doors to students at some point in the near future. While the seating area inside the Mars Brew House will be closed to the public (including the restrooms) for this period of time, outdoor seating will remain open and available to customers. All the food and beverage items which appear on our menu, including the frozen coffee and Oram's cinnamon rolls, will continue to be served throughout this time. Customers are welcome to call their orders in before they arrive to the Brew House if they would like at 724.625.2555 Food and beverage quality remains our paramount goal, with sanitation and cleanliness objectives expected to meet our customers' highest standards. The Mars Brew House, as you may be aware, has an impeccable 8-year track record with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (Health Dept.) earning the highest of marks available for a food and beverage establishment during annual 'unannounced' facility inspections. For now, Saturday live music performances will be suspended until our normal hours of operations resume once again. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas this holiday season! The Mars Brew House will be closed to celebrate Christmas and re-opening this Saturday December 28th at 8 a.m. Take a look at these hand decorated coffee cup sleeves which were created by 5th and 6th grade members of the Kindness Club here in the Mars School District. Their messages are so thoughtful and inspiring reminding us adults to take a minute to appreciate everything we have been blessed with in ou...r fast paced lives. Every message is hand-crafted for its recipient and the sleeve can also be re-used. Thank you Mars Area Centennial JAM Club for passing along your kindness and thinking of others!! Lastly, here is this year's Christmas Tree so beautifully decorated and displayed in Heinz Hall. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey folks I would like to give a shout-out to Hot Mama's Pierogies & Bebe Kakes located in downtown Mars in the side alley/parking lot of the Rite Aid building! They offer more than 21 varieties of fresh-made pierogies and Bebe Kakes bakes everything from individual decorated cupcakes all the way up to wedding cakes. This team has just started offering hot lunch dishes "to go" available Thursdays and Fridays between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. phone number 724.355.1336 I had their lasa...gna for lunch last week and it had to be one of the best homemade lasagnas I have ever tasted and I couldn't believe I was eating it with a plastic fork out of a styrofoam container! These ladies not only make their own home-made noodles from scratch, they also source their meats locally through Thoma Meats (near Saxonburg).
