For the health and safety of our patients, team and community, we will be temporarily suspending all non-emergency oral surgery services beginning Wednesday, Ma...rch 18, 2020 as directed by the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Our offices will be closed until further notice except for true dental emergencies. We will continue to be open for true oral surgery emergencies, those that involve infection and pain. Please call our office during business hours for further details. All elective operating room and office surgeries have been postponed. If you have an appointment scheduled a member of our team will be contacting you over the next few days to reschedule it. We will continue to monitor the situation and may make future modifications if needed. We will be monitoring voicemail and email messages and responding as needed. We will continue to post updates on our Facebook page as necessary. Effective March 16 as per the ADA and Allegheny County Health Department, we are closed for normal operations due to the coronavirus pandemic. They are saying 3 weeks, but likely into May. Due to PPE shortages across the country, we do not have the proper N95 masks required to safely treat patients in the office at this time. I also feel it necessary to allow for all available PPE/N95 masks be available first and foremost to the hospitals on the front lines of this pandemic.... I have made the decision, to protect the health of myself, staff, patients, and family members, to triage emergency patients via voicemail. If you have a true emergency (severe tooth pain, swelling) please call our office and we will refer you to the proper specialist and prescribe necessary medication to alleviate pain/swelling. We are all in this together, and it is important to abide by the regulations and recommendations set forth so that this virus does not spread rapidly. We wish you all health and safety moving forward, and hope to continue to provide your regular dental services in the near future.
