The more you guys support us the more I can support the community around us and here is an example of that. I've been getting all of our ground beef from Stone Ridge Manor from day one but alot of my other beef products were coming from elsewhere. Today I am one beef product away from buying all of my beef from Stone Ridge Manor. Here's the best part, in about 2 weeks I'll be able to make the switch and MDD will be exclusively using using Stone Ridge Manor beef. As long as ...you guys keep buying our stuff I'll keep trying to keep as many of those dollars right here in our community that I can. Tacos of the week: Stone Ridge Manor citrus braised beef, house made Pico de Gallo, and cilantro lime crema. Available this week only.

Last but not least in the why I why I say "mostly from grains we grow ourselves" instead of 100 from grains we grow ourselves. Sometimes I run out of the stuff we grew ourselves. It doesn't happen often but it has happened. When it does happen I usually buy my grain from Josh, the other guy in this photo. He leases the land next to mine and has other ground he farms as well. He's even the one that does most of the farming on my land. The few times I have run out of grain I ...have bought more from Josh. His fields are all still within 5 miles of MDD and some of them are literally right across the street from my own fields. Which again keeps it all incredibly local. So what's my message here? I keep everything as local as I possibly can. 100 percent of our raw grain comes from within 5 miles of MDD, 100 percent of the malted barley we use comes from PA, and the only out of state product we use to make our liquor is molasses for our rum and we still buy that from a Pennsylvania processor.

Here's another one that doesn't have a single grain in it that we grew ourselves but it is still 100 percent local and our own. Our pear brandy: 100 Bartlett pear juice from local orchards, juiced by Kimes cider mill (15 minutes up the road from us), fermented into pear wine by us, then distilled into pear brandy, and filled into a bottle that @hollabaughbros Grew a Seckle pear into. ... It's all local. Hyper local in fact, nothing in this process came from outside of Adams County. And just like every other spirit we have it was made from scratch and distilled by us. #madefromscratchwithlove

Yesterday could not have been a better example of what 2020 has been for me day in and day out, this shit is has me worn out.... in the same day I find out that Gettysburg Times has an article about the hand sanitizer I was making for Wellspan at the initial outbreak of covid I find out that the FDA intends to charge me (and every other distillery that helped) thousands of dollars for the privilege of helping. To make it even more 2020 themed I do not have the energy or time... to spare to stop and have an actual human reaction to this news because I've got shit to do to get ready for the loading dock sale today. Loading dock sale is from 2 to 5. I'll have everything listed on Www.masondixondistillery.shop plus: pork and sauerkraut family meals for $45, sangria kits for $25, egg nog for $30, and bourbon balls 6 for $6. I will also have a little bit of Coquito mixed up and ready to go. Its like eggnog but with coconut and I made this specifically for the fans of our painkillers. I will also have a bunch of jalapeno mule kits for sale. It'll be everything you need to make our mules at home, a 32 ounce bottle of mix and a 4 pack of ginger beer for $40. It'll make a ton of mules. I cannot wait to see everyone today and then take a few days to myself while we're closed for the next 2 weeks. #emotionalrollercoaster

You all did this. I've told alot of you individually that the only reason I've been able to stay in the fight this year is because of your support and now I am making sure that all of you know that... I'm at a loss for words other than thank you.

It's a little breezy out today and it just got a little breezier for me.... I just split a pair of jeans, right in the crotch. 5th pair in two weeks. I haven't been spending as much time at @gettysburgperformance as I would like to but I guess it's still enough to make a difference. Anybody have any recommendations for work pants other than jeans?

Loading dock sale is this Thursday from 2 to 5. I'll have boxtails, bottles, bourbon balls, egg nog, and sangria. I'm not going to take any pre-orders this time around but I will be setting up a register so we can run credit cards and gift cards. As always cash is preferred, the CC companies make more than enough money off of us. Also, in the spirit of trying to start off the new year on the best foot possible, ill have a bunch of family meals ready to go. The family meal will be a half pan of pork and sauerkraut with 2 quarts of homemade mashed potatoes. The meals will be packaged cold for you to reheat at home on new years day and they'll be portioned out to feed 4 to 6 people for $45. #rootforward don't #scratchbackward
