To be completely transparent, I am posting due to a sudden increase in traffic to the business page, that I do not know the origin of! I've been terribly busy lately, improving and settling into the new studio in Lititz, while juggling commissions bound for Kansas, Virginia, and Florida. Those tasks will be occupying me for several weeks, but new perspectives, new dynamics, and new creations are on the horizon. This has been a season of change, reflection, and growth, and I remain so very appreciative of all those who have supported me along the way. The photos are of the only two pieces that I have remaining completed and available, all else has found it's home, is spoken for, or is in the studio currently. To whoever I owe this recent traffic to, thank you, and to the rest of you, I beg your patience; the best is yet to come!

With Thanksgiving behind us and Small Business Saturday well underway, I thought I would take a moment to post an update to the business page. The Leavell clan has settled in Lititz, PA and I am diligently working to convert a 8600 square foot, 70 year old building into a functional art studio. True to Leavell form, our Covid restricted holiday meal took place in the middle of the emerging metal studio, with twinkle lights hastily strung and a drill press a few feet from the ...table. If there is anything that my own experience and the experience of my friends and colleagues over this last year has taught me, it is the value of being able to let go, to adapt, and to begin anew. With that spirit in mind I did not rush to create new work for the holiday crush this year; I am focusing on the studio with the intent of creating a new body of work for a spring grand opening. I do have a few significant pieces available in the online gallery, and a couple of botanical sculptures available for purchase. Aside from those, please consider supporting local artists wherever you might find them this holiday season, it's been a rough year for us all. Day 2 of Matthew's Magnificent Moving Sale! We have seldom discounted my artwork as a means of encouraging sales over the years; but alas we are moving to Lancaster, and my trailers are quickly reaching capacity! Moving a metal studio is expensive, and metal art is heavy! This post contains photos of completed work available at the lowest prices offered to date! Whether you are familiar with Matthew's sculptures or are discovering through this post, now is an excellent time ...to aquire a piece. Once we settle in PA, and the work is back to being exhibited in a conventional show or gallery environment, the pricing will return to previous levels. I am able to deliver larger pieces to points north of Richmond enroute to PA, could likely manage a delivery to the Carolinas, and can certainly discuss points elsewhere. Smaller botanicals can be shipped. It's been a tough year for everyone; why not plant some durable, colorful, whimsical, happiness in your corner of the world?
