A few weeks ago, one of our members, Pat, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. The prognosis was very poor and doctors were reluctant to do surgery. Pat is lov...ed by the entire church for her heartfelt hugs and outgoing personality. We were all deeply affected so we got together and prayed. When she went back to her doctor, she was informed that surgery may be possible after all. On Sunday, we laid hands over her and prayed again for a successful surgery. Yesterday, the doctors performed the Whipple procedure on her and her main surgeon said he was sure that they were able to remove all of the cancer. Pat went into this surgery with faith that God was going to do a work in her life. A day before the surgery she was shopping and found the angel in the picture with the slogan: "Life is made of miracles". When I visited her last night, she was not looking like a person who has just come out of an 8 hour surgery. All of us at Mayfair Conwell Memorial Baptist Church thank God for the work of healing he has begun in the life of Pat. See more

This morning after church, we prepared breakfast bags for Aid for Friends. Breakfast items were brought in by the congregation. Over 75 bags were prepared. Thank you to all who helped in this ministry project.

Yesterday for Mothers Day, I visited two mothers of the church, Alice Mikkelsen and Erma Kimber. Both of them have served in the church for many years. Due to health challenges, they are unable to attend church. We thank God for them.
