It’s official, Mayfair Tire of Langhorne opens it’s doors this Monday, May 10th at 8am. Thank you so much for all of the kind words and support shared over the past few weeks. They have provided great comfort during this challenging time of transition. I would like to announce that this Friday, April 16th, will be my final day at Mr.Tire, formerly and fondly known as Mayfair Tire. The transition that took place in 2018 proved to be a very difficult experience for me personally, one to which I’ve been unable to adapt. My family and I have lived in Langhorne, PA for the past twenty years and have decided to open a new location close to where we reside. It is a small shop but one we hope can serve our neighborhood for many ye...ars to come. I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Mayfair and all of the wonderful relationships I’ve made through the past three decades. I have nothing but good memories of working with my family, Chalie and many other wonderful coworkers but our patrons made our jobs a possibility. I’ve had the privilege of sharing in the lives of first, second and now even third generations of families. The countless flat repairs, brake jobs and state inspections all blur but the conversations, smiles, shared losses and friendships are what remain vivid. Thank you again for allowing me to share my life with all of you. If you wish to visit the new shop, I’ll be posting more info once everything is finalized. Please know that most of our crew, including Ron at the front desk, will be remaining on staff both during and after this transition. We are grateful to Mr. Tire for the opportunity they have provided for our team and wish them continued success in Mayfair. As of Monday July 16th, 2018, Mr.Tire will be taking over ownership of Mayfair Tire. The Hughes and Mirro families would like to express sincere gratitude to all of those that have supported our business since its inception in 1986. Many, if not most, are more than mere patrons. You have become dear friends with whom we have many great memories. This change is bittersweet but believe it to be a plan the Lord has brought to pass. We wish to thank our dad, Joseph Hughes Sr, who... had the vision and courage to start this business and the quality of character that impacted our lives as well as the manner in which we attempted to maintain what he began. The words he shared were simple but impacted all of us: There is enough honest business out there without being dishonest.
