The feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1 was instituted by Pope Pius XII as a counter-celebration to the communist May Day. This feast gives us the opportunity to thank God for the role model for workers he gave us in St. Joseph. All work and all workers have dignity and deserve to be treated justly. We pray for all those in search of work. We also pray in thanksgiving to all those under-appreciated workers who proved how essential they are: the doctors, nurses, nurses aides, EMTs and all health workers, janitors, cashiers in supermarkets, bus drivers, and so many others. They risked their lives to provide so many services we were all in need of throughout this difficult year. May God bless them and St. Joseph protect them.

A Christmas message from Father Judge Dear Friends, We want to wish you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! Last month we sent our newsletter, Messages from Mother Boniface, and there will soon be another to announce our upcoming programs. But for now, we send a message from Father Judge (founder of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity). In his many lovely conferences on the mystery of Christmas, Father Judge strongly encouraged us to get personally i...nvolved. In his mind’s eye, we are right there, and we must take our part. In this Christmas meditation, we are now both shepherds and angels! Youare to be his shepherds. You, friends of Christ, are to be the guard of honor around the altar manger of the living Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. It is your hymns that He wishes to hear, you are now His angel choir, His own dear, devoted, consecrated ones. This Christmas morning you are to push in there among those shepherds of old and say: "For this day to us, too, is born a Savior who is Christ the Lord." (Fr. Thomas A. Judge, CM, Missionary Cenacle Meditations) Elsewhere he urges us to press in with the shepherds, shoulder to shoulder with them, jostling with them to get closer to the Infant Jesus so that we, too, may have our turn to praise and adore. The mystery of Christmas, he says, should throw us to our knees. Whatever the past year has held for you, whatever anxieties you have about the future, do not let them keep you from visiting the Christmas crib and there rekindling your courage and your faith that Our Savior is with us, that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. With sincere prayers and good wishes, The Sisters and staff of Mother Boniface Spirituality Center See more
Our dear, sweet Blessed Mother has given to us an extraordinary revelation, and it is wonderfully surprising. She reveals to us the secret of her own power with God. The Holy Spirit ‘has done great things to me.’ Why? Did she say, ‘Because I am the Immaculate Conception’? Did she say because of her purity? No. Why then? ‘Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid.’ It was her humility. ~Father Judge

September 14, 2020 - Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross On the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, we pray at the foot of the Cross for a world that is suffering. Remembering the words of St. Pope John Paul II we join in "the unceasing effort to stand beside the endless Crosses on which the Son of God continues to be crucified." We adore You, Oh Christ, and we bless you,... because by your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world. See more
A BOLD AND FAITH-FILLED WOMAN This Sunday’s Gospel passage (Mt 15, 21-28) is difficult for many people. It just doesn’t sound like Jesus! You might say, What happened? Jesus said, Learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart! The words we hear in this passage sound neither gentle nor humble and certainly don’t seem consistent with Come to me all you labor and are burdened and I will give you rest (Mt 11,28) We need to place ourselves at the scene. Jesus withd...Continue reading
SOME THOUGHTS ON SUNDAY’S GOSPEL (MT 14, 13-21) Sometimes you just need to be by yourself. Isn’t it encouraging to know Jesus was no different? He had just heard of the gruesome death of his cousin, John the Baptist, and decided to withdraw to a deserted place. We can only imagine the thoughts and emotions running through him. I think we’ve all had moments like this: hearing about the death of a loved one or a friend, a serious diagnosis for our self or someone we real...Continue reading
The Kingdom of God is Like.. Our Founder, Father Thomas Judge, C.M., encouraged us to reflect on the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel throughout the week preceding it. I now belong to a Vincentian Apostolic Reflection Group with members from different Latin American countries as well as the United States who gather each week on Zoom and share reflections on the upcoming Sunday readings and how to apply them in their lives. When I read this Sunday’s Gospel reading, I was almost ove...Continue reading
