We’d like to give a very special send off to two long time McClure employees, Henry Splinter Holman III and Alden Hoffman who both retire this week. Splinter started at McClure in 1982, beginning his McClure journey in the warehouse. Throughout his career he worked at a wide variety of sites and on large process piping projects before assuming the role of Fab Shop Foreman in 2002. He has always been happy to take on a challenge and make it happen in the name of productivity... and overall project success. Alden joined Local 520 in 1979, following in the footsteps of his father and older brother. He served his entire professional career at McClure. Known for being reliable, consistent, confident, and trustworthy, Alden has one of the longest tenures in the company. He has been the Labor Superintendent since 2000. Over the years, both have been mentors and role models to many foreman as they established themselves in the trade. We thank you deeply for your contributions and steadfast loyalty to McClure Company. Your work family wishes you all the best as you begin a new chapter!

Temperatures are dropping, but it's toasty warm inside Mifflinburg Area Schools thanks to the district's new biomass heating plant. Congratulations to Mifflinburg School District on the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the completion of this remarkable renewable energy project.
