It's time again for The Learning Hive! DATE: Thursday August 20th TIME: 6:30PM- 9:00PM Location: Fern Hollow Nature Center - 1901 Glen Mitchell Rd, Sewickley, PA 15143... TOPIC: Hive inspections, mite treatments, DEARTH, Hive beetles, Where is the Fall Flow? What's blooming and is it good? Planning for a failed fall flow, fall management/combining hives and more! We will have some awesome give-aways as well! We will also be holding a raffle for $5 a ticket - winner gets choice of a 5 gallon bucket of prosweet or a mated and marked queen ! We have set up outside the last couple of meetings with great results and everyone was able to socially distance and the weather looks great! BRING YOUR VEILS! BRING A CHAIR (we can't be inside the building for the meeting) No food will be provided but we will provide drinks as usual, so if you would like to bring your own dinner please feel free to do so. SOME IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR MEETING IN PERSON: -If you are feeling sick or have been around someone that is sick, please refrain from attending -its not that we dont want you, but we should be cautious during this time. Guidelines for Groups Meeting in Green Phase: -50% of stated occupancy or 12 people per 1000 square feet (groups of up to 10 are permitted to be closer if everyone in the group lives in the same household). We will be outside so plenty of space!! -Provide physical guides to remain 6 ft apart -No sharing of equipment -Must have hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol available - I will have this if needed! -Ask people to wear masks, but cannot require since outside. If people need to go into the building to use the bathroom, etc. a mask must be worn. -Ask everyone to take their temperature before attending the meet up. If their temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, please ask them to stay home to keep everyone safe. -Encourage everyone to be on time to ensure the safety of everyone. See you on Thursday!!
