Project funds update: Right now we have two different projects we are needing to raise money for. -One is the church at Ponton. Jeff has been working on thi...s church for 3 weeks now and it is looking absolutely beautiful! (Pictures to come..) He has put on a new roof, rewired the electrical, painted the church, put up a chain to keep motorcycles off the sidewalk and installed a floodlight in front of the church...which the neighbors have been extremely grateful for the extra lighting at night!! All this has come to $5,500. We have $5,000 and are lacking $500 to complete this project. -Project number two is the church in San Cristobal. We need to put in bars on 6 double windows and a set of big double doors. The bars will be similar to the ones in the picture. Again this area is extremely poor and theft is a huge problem. We now have an actual quote for this project and it is going to cost $850. We currently have $620 so we are lacking $230. Remember these churches are beacons of lights in their communities. They are a place for families and children to learn about the Good News! This is the place many come together to worship God and to be set free from the chains of this world. We were able to finish the roof. We took all the old wood and tin off and replaced it with metal 3x3 beams and aluminum roofing that last 40 years. Now we are w...orking on rewiring it all with new wiring and painting it in side and out. We also put chain with post out front to keep motorcycles from driving on the side walk. Last 2 weeks I was there 110 hours working trying to get it all done by next Sunday so they can hav e church again. For those of you wondering the total cost for all this is 5,500 US dollars. We had 5000 donated towards it so far. I will post more pictures as we get closer to finishing everything. We have 4 or 5 more churches as time goes on we would like to change them over as termites are bad bad here and the tin only last 4 years and you have to paint it every 2 years. So by switching to metal beams ans aluminum roofing you have the roof mantnance free 40 years. And it saves a lot of money in the long run. Thank you for all your prayers and support God bless.
