Featured Recipe: Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie This delicious smoothie has a special ingredient that gives it a creamy texture. Frozen riced cauliflower! Ingredients... 8 oz unsweetened almond milk 1/2 cup sliced strawberries 1 cup frozen riced cauliflower 2 tbsp raw cashews 1 splash vanilla extract 1/4 tsp lemon zest (optional) 1 scoop strawberry protein powder Instructions 1. A BodyLab class begins with half of the class on treadmills and half on our floor space. The speed and incline vary on the tread throughout class, keeping your heart rate up and your mind engaged. Alternating between 5, 10 or 15 minute intervals, runners switch places with the floor crew while they head to the treadmills. The strength component may consist of body weight movements, dumbbell, suspension training, or any of the other awesome toys we’ll pull out. Give it a try! New Blog post drops today "You need to play more" https://www.meckafitness.com/mecka-blog If you are trying to learn something new, or working on anything at the moment invite more play into it. We spend so much of our mental health and mental resources trying to convince ourselves that the key to growing, getting better, and becoming successful is hard work. That we should close off everything and focus so forcefully and intensely on this one thing until it’s done and perfec...t. But how often does that lead us to burn out? To frustration? We get the work done and we progress forward, only to meet the next day with the same obstacle. Another project, another skill, another 5 pounds to try and conquer. It’s a very disengaged way of trying to grow. Play on the other hand allows to explore. It’s not just about the fun aspect. When we invite play into our daily routine - into the very fabric of how we attack challenges, we become deeply engaged in that process. It’s this engagement that allows us to intrinsically learn and build. Program’s are a nice neat bow that can give us an extremely solid direction. But don’t mistake a map for the experience. Play is the progressionnot the program. -- Mentality is an important and often overlooked aspect of ourselves. Interested in learning more?
