These boys. Little balls of energy that both make me exhausted and feel blessed beyond measure. Taking time in the middle of the week enjoy the sunshine and each other. And just look at those flowers! Spring is here and I love it!! (Could be a little cooler still though, just sayin.)

One of my biggest frustrations as a beginner professional photographer was never getting to do shoots in those really beautiful places I always see. and I used that as the reason my pictures did not look like other, better photographers'. This year, however, has changed my perspective. It is not about where you shoot, but HOW you shoot. Knowing your camera and trusting your eye are the most important factors to getting great photos. Jess responded to my search for models and... wanted to do a 1950's/baking photos session. We took the photos in her kitchen and with the flowers in her yard. And I think it turned out great! I have much to learn still, but am so grateful for how far I have come this year and the wonderful people helping me!
