After an incredibly restful ten days off...I’m back in the office today! Today’s tasks: catching up on the mountain of emails & finish blogging the last 10 blogs from last year! Tomorrow’s task: taxes...... Did you guys get a nice restful break over the holidays and if so what are you catching up on now?

Happy Birthday Mama! Words can express how thankful I’ve been for you as my mom but now I have even less for how thankful I am that Jack has you as his Grammy! I know this years celebrations aren’t all that exciting and kinda lonely but well make up for it next year! Love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Guys, I’ve got it. The perfect photo caption ‘it’s as sweet as molasses. We stood on the Boardwalk at Under Armor. Which if you’re not from Baltimore, you probably don’t know, is right next to the Domino Sugar Factory. The air smells of burnt sugar. I’d like to amend Brian’s caption, they’re as sweet as molasses. I love how these two are up for anything. Sit in that pile of leaves. Walk like you’re on a tight rope. Throw leaves in the air. Ok do it again and kiss each other. It’s the 3rd time they’ve been in front of my lens and I pray it’s not the last. I love these two too much! Anyways, Christine & Anthony’s one year wedding anniversary shoot is up on the blog! He’s not so little anymore & it’s killing me. At 17 months this kid decided he was going to pull himself out of his crib (fortunately I was in the doorway walking in and caught him)...so this morning, he got an upgrade. He’s SUPER excited. And incredibly proud of himself.... Mama isn’t so excited. And is actually anxious about how nap time and bedtime with go...but I guess this is part of being a mama right?! Watching them grow up and having to trust they’ll be ok. I can’t handle him having his room to himself...god help me when I have to drop him off for school. #stopgrowing #bigboybed

Today, I promised the hubby that the next time we do family pictures it won’t be 30 degrees with wind. Instead, it’ll be spring. I’ll plan out our outfits weeks ahead of time (instead of scrambling to find something we all already have that works together the night before) and my favorite part...we’ll actually hire a photographer and get a real family session. Instead of asking his brother to take my camera and snap 2 poses. Yes friends. This is the life of a photographer.... Now that Jack is here, I really want and need to be better at takin the time & money to have our lives professionally captured. But in the meantime, here’s our Christmas card and updated family portrait! #stramaraadventures
