Just because we can never get enough dog shows!

Congratulations to Aliya Taylor for being such an outstanding representative of our sport, and thank you to the Philadelphia Inquirer for the publicity! We have enjoyed working with you and your dogs, and seeing you at dog shows! A shout out also to Belgian Sheepdog Soda Pop and Emily Buckwalter, also favorites of ours and a credit to our sport as well!

Congratulations to Judy and Sean Cantrell and Dogue de Bordeaux "Nessa" (Cymrygold Nessa, Imp. Wales) on a beautiful litter sired by "Beau" (Am GChB, CKC Ch ChateauRouge Valentin), owned by Tracy & Peter Muth and Cindy & Rene Wisman! We helped by doing ovulation timing, vaginal AI's (thanks to a very cooperative team on a holiday weekend). When they wanted to arrive a few weeks early, we blocked premature labor with the help of WhelpWise monitoring, and performed an elective C-section to get them here safely with the help of the dedicated staff at VSEC-Conshohocken. Happy 6th birthday wishes to Pembroke Welsh Corgi "Winston" (BIS BISS GCHG Ch Nchanted Concerto ROMX), breeder/owner Carol Braunstein and co-owner Ginny Gilman! We are proud to have been a part of a very successful stud career for Winston. With the help of cooperative bitch owners and their veterinarians, he has produced many large litters with both fresh and shipped chilled as well as frozen semen, both here in the United States and as far flung as Australia and Japan. Huge congratulations on producing his 23rd champion offspring and achieving his Register of Merit and Register of Merit Excellence. Winston kids have won major awards at multiple specialties as well as all-breed shows, and he is not done yet!

Thanks to a persistent and patient bitch owner and the very cooperative owner of a young and inexperienced stud dog, good things happened with just a little help from us!

We would like to congratulate Mackenzie Makatche and her "Newf Crew" for the Philadelphia Inquirer's recognition of their nonprofit Newfoundland therapy group. We were proud to know Mackenzie's mom and to experience the family's support through her illness. Congratulations to Brenda Rogowyi and "Wren" and Julie Miller and "Taz" on a very special litter of pups from 17 year old frozen semen! The litter announcement says it all; we loved working with all of you and look forward to seeing these pups in the future!

Congratulations to bitch owner Brenda Trofanenko and Welsh Springer Spaniel "Harlow" (Ch Don's Cirque du Soleil) and sire "Watson" (Long Lane Lasting Impression), owned by Brenda Trofanenko and Cameron Levine, on this lovely litter! Although Watson had successfully bred once via natural service, attempts at semen collection for semen analysis and freezing had not been successful and two different veterinarians, after multiple attempts, had concluded he was sterile. Fortunately, it turned out he likely hadn't liked their process, because shortly thereafter we performed one vaginal AI and hit the puppy jackpot. We were also able to get frozen semen stored for the future. The biggest kudos go to Marion Daniel of Truepenny WSS for managing the breeding and raising this adorable group!

Congratulations to Linda Pruitt & Don Brown and Vizsla "Bryn" (Dobrocat's CG Bryn JH) on this beautiful and BIG litter of pups sired by frozen semen from Linda's "Hunter" (Ch Sansouci Czuda Vadasz MH CDX ROM NAVHDA Utility Pz III VCA Top Producer). Linda had attempted this same breeding on Bryn's previous cycle at a different veterinary facility with no success. She was a little apprehensive to try again but called us after talking to one of our long time clients. We are all glad she did! We look forward to BIG things from this beautiful and talented group!

Congratulations to Lisa Pollock and Brittany bitch "Dani" (Diamond Hill Son Shine and Whisky) on a very special litter sired by Lisa's "Stu" (DC/AFC Diamond Hill Dangerous Weapon). We first met Dani after her first breeding to Stu; while she had conceived easily, she developed a pyometra during her pregnancy. While we weren't able to save the pups, we did save Dani and her reproductive ability! The next time we took proactive measures, and with the help of WhelpWise monitoring to identify and treat premature labor (common in bitches with uterine pathology) Dani successfully carried four beautiful pups to term.

Congratulations to Jennifer & David Hill, breeder Patti Nicholson and German Shorthaired Pointer "Lexi" (Wynfield's Saddled Beauty JH) on this outstanding litter of 11 pups! The breeding was accomplished with perfect ovulation timing by identification of the LH surge and vaginal inseminations with shipped chilled semen from "Rocco" (NAC-DC CH AFC Odyssey's Saint Rocco) owned by Chuck Parietti. We think this group will be busy!

Congratulations to Tonilyn Mazzenga Fay and Giant Schnauzer "Nala" (Ch Skylines Nothing Else Matters) on an outstanding litter of pups sired by frozen semen from "Koal" (BISS/BIS Ch Ruster's The Command) owned by Steve Fox. Thanks to this group for (hopefully) welcoming us into spring!

Huge congratulations to Adair Toddes and Labrador Retriever "Dora" (UKC CH. Seminary Ridge's Souvenir JH,BN,CD,RA,WC,CGC) for this spectacular litter of ELEVEN pups sired by "JD" (CH. Rockycreek's Jack Daniels MH,BN,RN,WCX) owned by Kathryn Mines. We met Dora after she had missed three times with a lot of time and money spent on progesterone testing and artificial inseminations at other vet hospitals. Although Ms. Toddes was convinced the problem was Dora's, all she needed was correct ovulation timing and proper breeding, keeping it simple and successful. Then WhelpWise helped get all 11 here safely. We can't wait to watch them grow up!

Congratulations to Lucretia Hedberg and Papillon "Shelly" (Chinak Herd All About Her) in Alaska on this lovely litter of pups sired by "Errol" (Chinak LaRen Crown Swashbuckler Dragonfire NA,OAJ) owned by Louis Wetzel in New York. Lucretia had asked us to ship frozen semen and guide her cooperative but inexperienced vet in Alaska through the breeding. We suggested chilled instead, since it is more fertile and easier to use. We did long distance LH testing and shipped chilled semen, and these adorable pups were the result! Since one made the trip back to the East coast we hope we get to see her!

Congratulations to Tony Geritigan, Phillip Pullin and Great Dane "Mona Rose" (Braewynd's Diamond in the Rough) for a lovely litter of 6 sired with shipped chilled semen from Susan Davis Shaw's "Buck" (GCh DavisDane's The Buck Stops Here). We helped with perfect ovulation timing identifying the LH surge and vaginal inseminations with chilled semen. We loved working with Tony, Phil and Mona Rose, and Susan was a dream of a stud owner. Beautiful puppies are the result!

Congratulations to Sue Ramspacher and "Blush" (BISS,Am GCh, Can/UKC Ch Brookside's Brighter Shade of Pink JH,NSD,CGC) for this wonderful litter of ten frozen semen pups! We collected and froze the semen in 2009 from Sue's "Walker" (Am/Can Ch Starbuck's Walk/N Th Wild Side JH,BN,RN,RATN,CGC,NSD,TDI) to keep it all in the family. They sure kept Sue and Blush busy!

Many thanks to the United States Lakeland Terrier Club for inviting me to speak at their National Specialty Educational Program last Friday night, and for the warm welcome I got ringside the next day at Devon. It was an interesting and engaged group with great questions!
