Despite the myriad challenges presented by Covid-19, we are in awe of our clients’ resilience. They have embraced the motto, The Show Must Go On, with grit and determination. We too share this motto, which is why our creative team has been working their tails off, all spring and summer, in support of their efforts! Our friends at FringeArts are showing their strength and commitment to the community by mounting a unique Fringe Festival with 119 shows! They’ve established an... unprecedented format for audience members to participate. From ALWAYS ON shows (available online anytime) to OUT AND ABOUT (yes, you can experience a show NOT in your home ) to live performances where you can TUNE IN, the 2020 Fringe Festival is an explosion of brilliance. Inspired by the attitude that creativity can emanate from the darkness and adapt with the times, we created this lively brand identity, led by creative partner Benjamin Hanley Brown Learn more about this year’s festival (Sept. 10-Oct. 4) by diving into FringeArts.com. . . #TheShowMustGoOn #FringeArts #FringeFest #PhillyFringe2020 #performance #Festival #Artsandculture #adaptability #resilience #virtualart #beflexible #supportthearts #phillylocal #branding #design #graphicdesign #MGDPhilly #designforgood

We couldn’t be more proud of MGD’s creative partner Benjamin Brown for lending his creative design chops to help launch the first-ever print edition of the Black Wall Street Times. This limited edition paper commemorated the I, too, am America #Juneteenth Rally for Justice in Tulsa, Oklahomawhere Benjamin Hanley Brown currently resides and is participating in the Tulsa Remote program. The paper is stunning and a beautiful celebration of Black voices and artists. . #BlackWallStreet #Greenwood #BlackLivesMatter #blackvoices #printisnotdead #publicationdesign #tulsaremote #designforgood

Last Friday, after an 11 week stay-at-home order, Philly entered the first phase of re-opening. It coincided with a full moona reminder that it’s only a phase. We’ll get through this. And, whatever phase you’re in, you will too. Hang in there. . #YellowPhase #YellowMoon #ItsOnlyAPhase #fullmoon #Coronadesign #animation #hanginthere #MGDPhilly #DesignforGood

Start clapping (volume up). TODAY Philadelphia has finally moved into the yellow phase of the state coronavirus reopening plan. We created this video for the Friends of Fitler Square Park in Philadelphia a reminder to all that we can enjoy the outdoors and each other by staying 6 feet apart. Today we are seeing the collective strength of people uniting in protest all across the country. We join them in raising our voices to demand a better, more just and equal path forward. To those in power and in positions to make real change, LISTEN to the dissenting voices. * * * Adnan Zulfiqar is Associate Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School. The excerpted text in this video was part of a passionate letter he wrote in April 2017 to the President of the United States and o...ur government leaders. He reminds them that, It is our people who have consistently endeavored to correct our country’s deepest flaws. His words inspired us to make this video. As we social distance and work remotely, we wonder if the full force of our efforts are coming across to clients. Fortunately, we work with kind people who never fail to make us feel appreciated. Receiving feedback like this is a great way to kick off the week! Happy Monday

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Spring is such a magical time to come together and support our favorite organizations. Sadly, many of our clients had to cancel or postpone their fundraisers due to COVID-19. We are looking forward to the day when we can all be togetheras friends and neighborsto celebrate each others’ accomplishments. These graphics were created for The Philadelphia School's annual fundraiser (EATS). Their theme Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is especially poignant... right now. We may not be able to BE TOGETHER but we do need to BE THERE for each other. When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the newsmy mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ Mr. Rogers
