Monroe Hose Co.

Lifetime member Don Stranger Sr. responded to heaven this morning. Don started his volunteer career with Monroe Hose Co. back in 1970. (51 years ago!) Throughout the years Don has held many fire line officer positions in the department such as Lieutenant, Captain, 2nd Assistant Chief, and Assistant Chief. Don had also earned our highest honor bestowed upon a firefighter in 1985 "The Firefighter of the year award." Don was our EMA Coordinator for Monroe Township also. He truly went out of his way for the people of the community and the fire service while always bringing a laugh to those around him. Don will be greatly missed. RIP brother, we've got it from here.

Mud is Flying at Mountaineer Park!

We hope to see everyone this Saturday for the mud slinging @ the Mountaineer Mudbog! Starts at 12pm. $5 admission 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $10. Bring some sunscreen and have some fun. The food booth will be open! Please share!

IT'S TIME AGAIN FOR OUR COMMUNITY ELVES TO HELP MAKE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL for CHILDREN of BRADFORD COUNTY... OUR FILL THE FIRE HOUSE TOY DRIVE CONTINUES ON FOR THE 4TH YEAR! We are partnering this year with Children and Youth Services. My heart just about shattered when the lady I spoke with said they have over 200 Bradford County children in their care. Some of them are sent all across the state to live in foster or group homes. CYS stated they are having a very difficult year so far getting sponsors to help with gifts due to the Pandemic. We know it has been hard on everyone. We aren't asking for expensive gifts. Anything you can spare will be appreciated by so many. Some of the children do not even have hats, mittens, coats, or boots for the upcoming cold weather. Our Community continues to amaze us and makes us so proud! We appreciate everything you have done to help in the past! We are hoping we can count you in again this year. We just ask no weapons of any kind. The children are asking for arts and crafts, cars, books, dolls, make up, & other toys for all ages. Thank you all in advance! Merry Christmas Everyone!
