Our maintenance man can build just about anything but we are a little worried about Frosty he built out front this morning!! The residents has a good time watching thats all that matters!!!

HAPPY FALL We have a tradition here at Michaux to be a part of the community Halloween Festivities! In years past the local children would come through our building and trick or treat. Each resident would sit at their doorway and give out candy. Well this year things have changed a good bit. We will still be handing out candy to the children just not inside of our building. We are in the works of coming up with a plan to make this possible as the residents love to see ...the kids all dressed up. So this is where we are in need of some help for you all!! CANDY We are asking for candy donations. Any type of individually wrapped candy. If you would like to help out and donate you can just drop the donations off in the bin located on the front porch. Hello Families!!!! We are in the clear to start outside visits at this time!!!! We have 2 tables set up in our courtyard with chairs and shade. If you are wanting to visit, we ask that you PLEASE call and make an appointment so that the staff is able to assist you and know you are coming. ALL VISITORS will be asked a few screening questions, have temperature checked, sanitize hands and MUST WEAR A MASK!!!! We understand you all have been waiting a long time to visit with you...r families but we have to do these things to be in compliance with the state requirements and we really have the residents safety as our best interest!!! Thank you all in advance for cooperating and understanding!!

Just a little sneak peek at some of the raffle prizes we will have at our Community Wiffleball Game this Sunday! Each player participating will get 3 tickets but additional tickets can be purchased. Also we will be selling hot dogs, chips & drinks! We hope to see some friends and family on Sunday starts at 5pm game at 6pm! *Please remember we will be STRICTLY following the social distancing guidelines for our residents. No one will be able to come in the building and PLEASE do not be in contact with our residents. We have been completely COIVD FREE and we want to keep it that way!!! Our residents wanted to go to a baseball game this year but COVID-19 has put all trips on hold. They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. So we are bringing baseball to the residents this Sunday! If you have any children or grandchildren that would be interested in playing please let us know by Friday. The residents will also be participating in a Home Run Derby Michaux Style!!! ... During this event we will be strictly maintaining social distancing with our residents and no one will be able to enter the building.

Assist residents with daily living tasks such as but not limited to bathing, dressing, eating and transferring. Experience with senior citizens preferred but not required. Training will be provided for this position.

Hello Friends & Families!! We are in need of some new reading material. We normally have to local Book-Mobile visit us once a month but the state lockdown has stopped them from coming. So we are looking for used books that you all may have that you are looking to part with. If you have any books you are willing to donate to our residents you can just place them in a bag and drop them off on our front porch. Thank you all so much for helping us help our residents!!!

Friday evening well spent for the community, as we hosted a small carnival and fireworks for the members of the South Mountain Community! We are part of such a wonderful village. These people always show us so much support in everything we do! We can't thank you all enough. We would like to also THANK OUR AMAZING STAFF for making this event possible!! You all are the best and the residents really appreciate each and everyone of you as well!!!

We had a fantastic time celebrating Independence Day with our residents! We played some carnival games in the morning, an indoor picnic for lunch and a great fireworks show in the evening!!!
