With Thanksgiving upon us and more of us driving, be on the lookout for an increase in deer road crossings in our rural, suburban and urban areas. We're still in the midst of the annual "rut" / mating season so Bucks and Does will cross roads w/o the hesitancy they have before. The crossings will happen more during daylight than normal, click your high beams on as much as you can at night, slow down when you can't see far on the left and right with trees etc. An important point, when you're on familiar roads and haven't seen deer in that area before, they may be in those areas now - because of the rut and also changing food source areas this time of year!
