PLEASE SHARE! The FALL FLIGHT FESTIVAL is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the VFW Carnival grounds! It is gonna be a fantastic day!! Ticket sales have bee...n steady and there will be plenty of flight festival tickets available on Saturday. With the Governor's stay on event sizes being rejected, we are not holding this event to 250 tickets! All we ask is that you behave responsibly and understand the risks and have a good time. We have craft beer, wine, distilled spirits AND some of the German beer we thought we couldn't get - Spaten, Spaten Dark, Oktoberfest and Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse. We are also selling 32 oz. Howlers that you can load up your German beer or Rusty Rail selection and take home or drink at the grounds (WITH FOOD). Vendors will also be doing bottle sales, etc... I think we actually have more great stuff to try than usual!! Admission to the grounds is free and all the food I mentioned with Rocktoberfest will still be there with the addition of drunken cupcakes! There will also be a corn hole tourney to benefit the 4H club! Please come out and play - with all of their fundraising events being cancelled, they are in big need for financial support for their big trip next year. Prizes are CASH!! We also have three great bands with a lot of variety - something for everyone!! Gabe Stillman Blues at noon, traditional German polka in the afternoon with favorite John Stevens and closing out the day we are bringing in the popular Mama Corn from the Altoona area - Corn stalkers tell me they are fantastic!! There are rules that we must abide by to keep PLCB legal happy - tickets prices include $10 in food vouchers that you can spend on the grounds at the food stands. You must have food with your drinking party to pick up your flights. I am really excited about this event and hope we get a great turnout to support these wonderful vendors who have had bit of a rough year! See more
