BACK Racing

Very slow, but steady progress is being made. We haven't posted anything for a while or made too much progress due to some health issues going on with our owner/driver of the car. But before you know it, one more car will be added to the jennerstown speedway rush late model field and one more car will be fighting to defend the hometown track during the motor mountain masters in 2021.

Little man was promoted today to jackman... we gotta work on his speed though. But he'll get there. Putting some shop time in to get a little bit closer to race day for us.

From all of us here at BACK Racing, have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July. We are taking a break from all our race teams activities to checkout the racing action tonight at Jennerstown Speedway. But stay tuned for further updates on the rebuild of the "Avonmore Bullet."

Haven't posted much lately as we been working hard on other BACK Racing aspects of our team. But finally having a shop day today, tommorow and monday. Breaking her down and then wash day as she needs it. Then its off to sanding and paint. Can't wait until she's done.

As we are a very pro police race team with police officers on both sides of our family, we would like to take the time today to recognize and honor the final resting of a local police officer Dale Provins of the Jefferson Hills Police Department. I, Mike, our team owner had the honor and privilege as a emt of working with his brother, Patrick Provins, who is a paramedic. I did not know Dale personally, but if little brother Patrick was wanting to be like big brother Dale, the police world and the world in general lost a caring, compassionate, loving, and perfect man and police officer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Provins family and friends and community of Jefferson Hills. We salute you Officer Dale Provins. Protect us all from the precinct in the sky.

Continuing on with our meeting of our team... I would like to introduce you to our littlest crew chief and smiles on a rough day of getting this team off the ground. 4 month old Kris Knepshield. He loves to be held by his mommy, our team manager, and stare at the race car in the garage. He loves to also sit with his daddy, our teams owner, and spend hours watching racecars on TV and YouTube. Hes still getting used to the sound of a starting loud engine of any sort and still has yet to experience his first live race. But you can see it in his eyes and the way he stares at racing on TV and our own racecar he wishes he could stand and lend daddy a hand on getting the racecar tore down from its current state to build it back up again. Kris is the heart and soul of our entire family with his unforgettable laugh and toothless full face smile.

As some of you know us well, others know us if you hear one of our team members by name but dont know much of a back story to them, and some of you don't know any of us at all. Over the next week, we have decided to have postings on "Getting to know us at BACK Racing." We will start with the semi interesting and might be asked question of where did we come up with our race team name? Well for our car and team owner, it was a quick decision on the who and what he was naming t...he team after. He was naming it after his kids. Brian, whose 11. Aliyah who is 2. Caleb who is 5. And Kris who is 4 months old and also shares the same birthday as his daddy, the owner of our racecar and team. So we took the first letters of each child's name and came up with BACK Racing. We are a family based team at the moment. Our kids are our life and reason for even getting into this what seems near impossible mission of building this racecar. We promised our kids one day we would stop sitting in the stands watching the races and pit crews work, and one day have and own car. And be down there with the other teams. Well we finally made our dreams come true this year and we will see you in the pits and on the track soon. See more

As we are a newborn baby in the RUSH Late Model world, we here at BACK Racing have already felt like we are in over our heads with getting our racecar race ready. If you were to continue in helping us through out the season, on raceway we will pay for your pit pass and refreshments for the night.
