Don't forget! The Annual Santa Parade is tonight. The parade route is North, Lewis and Sunbury Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. To keep the children and Santa ...healthy, we will not have a Meet and Greet this year. But we will have a setup complete with a Letters to Santa mailbox for you to take your own photos dropping your letters to Santa from 6-7 p.m. The first 50 children coming to place their letters will get a gift. After this event, the mailbox will be available for children to drop their letters up until December 23rd outside the Minersville Police Station, 15 N Delaware Ave, Minersville. Remember to put your name on your letters. Maybe if you include your address and Santa or Mrs. Claus isn't busy they can write to you. Please remember to adhere to CDC guidelines and social distancing practices.

NOTICE Due to the expected severe winter weather and chance of a significant accumulation of snow, the Borough of Minersville has declared a Snow Emergency. The Snow Emergency will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 until 10 a.m. Thursday, Thursday 17, 2020. There will be NO PARKING on Sunbury, Front and S Third Streets during this time. Any vehicles parked on these streets will be ticketed and towed at the owners’ expense. This declaration is to allow our plow tr...ucks to maintain a wide travel lane for traffic (this declaration is not for snow removal). Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. PLEASE REMEMBER No residents can plow, shovel or blow any snow or ice from private property onto a public street, crosswalk, transit stop, or sidewalk. Also, please do not deposit any snow and/or ice on or within 3 foot radius of any fire hydrant or within 15 feet of any intersection. No person who has removed an accumulation of snow and/or ice within a parking lane can reserve the parking space with any type of objects, i.e. chairs, buckets, signs. Any person using motorized equipment/vehicles, i.e. snow plows, ATVs, tractors, loaders, etc., are prohibited from piling any snow on a street. All persons using motorized equipment/vehicles to move snow are required to remove the snow from the street.

Good afternoon, folks. I can really use your help with something. If you can, just help spread the word on this fundraiser Two nice young ladies, Dora and ...Barbara, from the Minersville Area Historical Society approached me a little while ago asking me for help raising some funds. I understand they will use the funds to purchase some software that will streamline scanning and storing important historical documents and photos from in and around Minersville. Also, if you didn't know, the Minersville Area Historical Society does have some things on display for the public. More info on that soon. My friends at the Minersville Area Lions Club agreed to help, too. These guys and gals will help package meals for us. You can purchase tickets through them or at Washington Hotel in Minersville. If you hate spaghetti (or just can't be avaliable) but love the idea, the Minersville Lions can take donations through Square on behalf of the Historical Society. Cheers!
