Happy weekend friends! In good news, Mike’s shoulder surgery went better than expected on Friday. So much so that when a long-time humanitarian NGO client texted him on Saturday afternoon at 1:15pm to request a new & urgent ticket be issued for same day travel to Kigali, he was eager to assist. The MNT team had the ticket processed within minutes and the traveler set off for the airport. Our service culture has always been founded on attentive, personable customer care and it is even more important now through these unprecedented times. Our President, Mike Bedient, hung up his road warrior badge for 4 months and then planned a circle trip with his daughter from Philadelphia to Austin, next onto Las Vegas and finally returning to Philadelphia. Thanks to Southwest Airlines for instilling confidence with social distancing measures, blocking middle seats, seamless kiosk check-in, and aircraft cleanliness. Southwest boarding was even better than expected by allowing a maximum of 10 passengers to board at one given time. The highlight of the trip was picking up a new grand-puppy and making great family memories. Travel connects our world in so many ways and we are grateful to be part of this incredible industry.
