MBG Indian Families: It is with a very heavy heart this afternoon that we need to announce to our family, friends and community that we have officially opted out of the AMFL 2020 Football Season for our Midget Teams. The MMFA Board Members alongside of the AMFL Board Members have tirelessly discussed rolling out the 2020 Season. However with PIAA Statements, Government Recommendations and finally, CDC Guidelines, the MMFA is forced to focus on the shear safety of our famil...ies, they’re children, and our Volunteers. To add to our decision, it will be merely impossible to run this season with so many near-future unknowns regarding Fall Sports in general. We are going to take a few new changes that we already had in place for this year to start building on our 2021 Season for you! We really hope you join us next season as you are heart of our Organization! Please understand the difficult decision that we had to make, together as a team, was not an easy one. We know this decision saddens our MMFA Board, our Volunteers and our Community but we also know that ALL TEAMS have their ups & downs and ALL TEAMS go thru them TOGETHER as ONE. Attention MBG Football/Cheer Parents: AMFL has decided that WE ARE proceeding with the 2020 season but are not going to be able to start practice until August 17th. We will be holding a registration sign up at Seal Park on JULY 25th from 11 to 1. If we already have your registration there is nothing that needs to be done at this point. Thank you to all the parents that have sent the registrations in already! ... At registration there will be blank forms and once again no monies are going to be collected at this point. We look forward to seeing everyone!!

The MMFA would like to take a moment to clear any confusion due to inaccurate & false social media post(s) that have recently been posted. First and foremost, as per the AMFL (The League in which we're involved in), the MMFA and all bordering School Districts will, until further notice, proceed with a 2020 Season. We DO NOT EXPECT any participant involved (playing FB or Cheering) to be wearing a mask while on the field/track. There may be some CDC Guidelines that we’ll have t...o follow however no child will be put at risk in the heat by wearing a mask. Secondly, the MBG HS has indeed charged the MMFA more money to rent the field (doubling the cost / game). The reason behind them charging more this year is due to the merger. In the past, we had access to some equipment items that we no longer have access to. HOWEVER, the MMFA is exploring options such as borrowing equipment which will save cost b/c we will not have to purchase it. If the MMFA does indeed incur all expected costs from the MHS, we can still proceed with our season REGARDLESS if we have to purchase or can borrow such items. We also would like to add that we have Sponsors flowing in more than ever before in history & it is because of them, because of our Community coming together, that we’ll have the successful season that are children are banking on! And lastly, with all due respect, the MMFA Board consist of three members: Al Santiago 717.370.1374, Amanda Frey 717.979.4017 and Jessica Johnston 717.421.4193. These are the three people of which all parents should reach out to if you have any questions, concerns, things to address, etc. Social Media posts that include false information that can damage the season for many children is certainly not the answer. We’re all approachable to conversate with and should you find yourself wanting to reach out to anybody outside of the Board, feel free to contact any involved coach. We’re still building the rosters however in just a few short weeks, we would be more than happy to supply anyone with a coaches contact information if you’d rather connect with a coach. We need each & every one of you. This organization is a TEAM effort and we will not tolerate any negativity towards the Organization. We work 12 Months around the clock and our ONLY goal is to provide our children with a Season. We appreciate all of the supporters out there; your family to us & we love having you in it!!
