Merry Christmas.

The Warwick Township Historical Society mourns the passing of Mr. Ken Barlow, a long-time member, volunteer and officer of the Society. Ken joined the board in 2001 and was elected Vice President in 2002, an office which he held for the last eighteen years. Ken not only served as Vice President, but was also Chairman of the Facilities Committee making sure all of the mechanical systems in the Moland House were working properly. He was also a docent who loved nothing more t...han teaching the fifth grade kids who came to the Moland House as a part of their study of the American Revolution. He and his beloved wife Lorraine even cleaned the house, washed windows and kept us stocked with paper towels! During the restoration it was Ken who supervised the installation of the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems including HVAC, fire sprinkler, and burglar and fire alarms. Ken taught chemistry, physics and biology before entering the newly developing computer industry where he taught programming and computer operation. He then became a Computer Systems Analyst, a job which took him around the world and included stints with the Pentagon, NORAD, and a number of high-profile technology firms. Ken was a multitalented man who was a loyal volunteer and a good friend to all in the Moland House family. He will be greatly missed.

This year we have the honor of placing our Christmas Tree in Pearl Buck's kitchen during the Festival of Trees. That allowed us the opportunity to decorate her table as well. The trees will be on display from Nov 14 through Dec. 31. Please call ahead for tickets and reservations at 215-249-0100.
