With an emphasis on safety, all who are interested in shopping are required to schedule an appointment ahead of time with our office. She Nailed It!, MCHFH’s all women’s nailing competition, is back! Get your friends together and compete to take home the coveted golden hammer! Your participation in this contest will help MCHFH to further our mission of ensuring that everyone in Monroe County has a safe, decent place to live. Our annual She Nailed It competition is going virtual for the first time ever! With an emphasis on safety for you and your team, the competition will be video recorded in May at the Mountain Center in Tobyhanna, PA! Each team will hammer individually in front of our judge. Site supervisors are needed to lead these projects! The majority of work for the repairs is completed by volunteers and the role of site supervisors is to instruct, teach, monitor safety and ensure that work is completed correctly and as planned. There are no minimum hour requirements for Volunteer Site Supervisors, you will have be able to schedule projects according to your own schedule. Most projects can be completed in 3 work days. You will choose projects that interest you, and are in line with your skills. Site supervisors are also members of the MCHFH construction committee which meets (virtually) on Tuesday mornings to discuss current projects.
