"MCA is about learning how to learn" (Says an MCA Dad) "Our eldest just turned six and is reading a book listed at a 5th-6th grade level. She already has the tools to figure out words she has never seen before and is loving every minute of it. While doing some subtraction review, she actually shocked me with an answer. The question was eight minus two. Normally she wouldn't give this a second thought, but the question got inverted when written down and turned into two minus ...eight. Before I could say a word she looked up and said, "I think it's minus-six". She has no idea what negative numbers are, but again, she has a foundation of tools that allowed her to think it through.
