Two members of the LPFD have been recognized in Firehouse.com magazine for their actions during a fire at Salter's Ski Shop on January 26, 2019. Assistant Chief... Chris Reynolds and Firefighter Mike Rohlfing were instrumental in the successful outcome a mayday declared on the fireground that morning. Firehouse magazine posts their Valor and Community Service Awards each October for events in the prior year. Congrats guys! Whitemarsh Police are wearing a ribbon on their badges to support the efforts of essential workers during COVID-19. The ribbons are part of the America Strong and United campaign, which is meant to inspire hope and unity whenever an essential worker is seen wearing a band.

Lee Miletich is a Correctional Officer at Montgomery County Correctional Facility who recently tested positive for COVID-19. Lee has been medivacked and now on a ventilator and blood oxygenator machines at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His wife Brandy is due any day with their first child and has also tested COVID positive. Brandy's father passed away last week. This family could use our help and support. Any money collected using any of the Donate Now buttons on our website will go directly to the family.

The Hero Fund and Hatboro Police Department are partnering to raise funds for his Family. As always 100% of funds raised goes directly to his Wife and Children. Sergeant Petrik was 46 years old and a 21 year veteran of the Hatboro Police Department. Prior to joining the Hatboro PD, Jim was a police dispatcher with neighboring Horsham Township PD. Sergeant Petrik was also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife Lynn and 3 teenaged sons; Jimmy, Jason and Justin.
