FULL MOON in SHATABHISHA NAKSHATRA September 2nd @ 1:23 am. Shatabhisha is the physician of the gods and means a hundred flowers indicating it’s connection to healing. I have been feeling more called you work with my hands these days and decided not to write a blog this month. So many big changes in my life at the moment that engaging my heart instead of my mind feels right. So, when I set out on this particular doll my plan was to make a Selkie Woman, Celtic Sea/w...oman figure in ancient mythology and an archetype I relate and connect so much to.As you can see that’s not who she turned out to be. I gathered and dried seaweed for her hair and everything but the more I worked on her the more another archetype was coming through. I allowed it to come through and just went with it and here she is. Clearly she’s a High Priestess not a woman of the Sea. I was so surprised and delighted when I finished her last night in the dark hours of the almost full moon. With Mars direct in Aries and going Retro on September 9th, Jupiter finally going direct in Sagittarius after a summer of Retrograde and Saturn also going direct in Capricorn after months of retrograde it’s clear we need the Archetype of the High Priestess to navigate these stormy seas and not the Selkie. She is firm and grounded with strong boundaries, she draws down her magic and allows that to guide her never seeking opinions of others, and she bears a Willow Staff (which I may top off with Amethyst) to remind her to surrender and go with the flow but more importantly explore the depths of everything as it’s not what you initially see.. She is filled with the herbs sacred to my ancestors, Vervain for protection, Mugwort for assistance with intuition and purification and Elder as a reminder to continue seeking the the wisdom of those that have gone before us. May she serve as an inspiration for you to explore how this full moon energy has presented itself to you, maybe through animals etc., over the last few days and what that means for you personally rather than reading my interpretation of what it means. Happy Ganesha Chaturthi. The remover of all obstacles, ever important these days I have been MIA on here and fully immersed at the beach this summer with my kiddos living our best life for which I have extreme gratitude . 2020 has brought some serious change, especially to us parents and that means mothercraft as well. A new website is on the way so that’s exciting and the new logo is also here! The shop is closed for now as I navigate our homeschooling and reimagining... my releasing of products, my blogs will continue once or twice a month, my consultations will be very limited and workshops few until further notice. I have been gathering emails over the last 6 months to begin sending the blog in a newsletter format and to keep things in one place rather than posting here. Please DM me your email if you would like to be included on these. That is where I will share upcoming in-person workshops, new product launches etc. I will continue to pop on here to keep folks updated but the intention is to try to minimize all of the arteries that lead to mothercraft and keep information in one place. My time is limited now to manage the Social Media and all the other things as I am being called to Rise as a mother in many new ways. It’s funny how the universe works when you express a desire to simplify, isn’t it?. Sending you all a big virtual hug and looking forward to an in-person one soon . BLESSED LUGHNASA & FULL MOON IN SRAVANA NAKSHATRA August 3rd 11:59am EST Are you listening???? Listening leads to alertness. NEW MOON NEW LOGO IN PUSHYA NAKSHATRA JULY 20TH, 2020 @1:33pm EST This new moon is a bright light amidst the darkness. Pushya is a goddess-like Nakshatra and the most auspicious for spiritual maturity. It’s Shakti (power) is the ability to create spiritual energy. This feels like a boon of goodness in our current climate. All spiritual practices are emphasized here, intentions, spells, sankalpa’s etc. I trust that the commitments sown and the intentions set unde...r this new moon will reap many fruits. The influence of Saturn ruling this Nakshatra enables creativity to reach new levels and not just the daydreams and visions that are typical of Cancer.
