Hey folks, just a reminder, the first week of February we will be open the 4th, 5th, and 6th. from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Pops loves this stuff. I think it's interesting, but not attractive.

So, in addition to the many different specimens we offer at the shop. We are occasionally asked to find a rare and unusual specimen. Awhile back, a friend asked us to find a Hauyne specimen. Not only did we find one, but we found a Translucent Blue Hauyne, which is even rarer than a regular Hauyne. We simply love what we do. The only downside is that now I have to find one for my personal collection (sigh)... Peace

Ok folks, we have closed out our current African order. We have everything from hand-carved gemstone animals from Zimbabwe (these are getting harder to acquire as the younger generation there has not picked up on the craftmanship of their elders) to many rare and unusual specimens. We are currently waiting on shipping charges. We are ecstatic about this current offering. And though like every other industry, prices have gone up, we will be offering our usual below retail prices. We have started into our 12th year as a Mom and Pop rock shop. And we couldn't have done it without you good folks... Peace

And so this weekend, Momma T and I have added many items to our African order. We will list them all with pics when our order comes in. We will continue to add some very unique items through this week. We fully expect this order to be here around the end of this month. And once again, we are extremely excited to offer such treasures to you good folks... Peace

Hey Folks, it's just too cold and so we are closed for the rest of this day. Our shop will re-open next Saturday at 8:00 am... Peace

Wow, so today, Momma T made some very cool selections to our African order. She has added some very nice Blue Celestite specimens. Also a first for our shop, a couple of rare Chrysophrase spheres. We have 4 of these, but 2 will not make it to the shop. We also have some polished Amazonite spheres interlaced with Black Tourmaline. There's more on the way... Peace

And so, we have added some more items to our African order. We have added some of those cool Petrified wood, some very rare polished Stichtite, some Polished Malachite Free Forms, and some very rare Polished Malachite Stalactite Sections, both from the Congo. We have added some awesome Natural Cobaltian Dolomite Salrose specimens and some unique White Spine Ammonites. And finally, we were able to add some very hard to find Polished Shattuckite and some polished standing Carnelian free forms. Whew, and we are just getting started. We are working hard to get this order complete and delivered around the end of this month... Peace...

Hey folks, our brother just up the aisle from us (Bob's Cutlery) just got in a huge selection of knives, swords, katanas, and much more. Give Bob a shout out if you will, when out at The Shoppes of Newberrytown. We are Mom and Pop shops at your service... Peace

Hey Folks: The Shoppes at Newberrytown will be closed tomorrow (Sunday). There is an Ice storm predicted to hit our area. And your safety and ours, is first and foremost on our minds. We'll see you good folks next weekend... Peace

Folks; for the last 11 years we have maintained pretty much the same low prices. This is due to how we purchase specimens for our shop. As it is, Tumbled stones have quadrupled in price and due to Covids, are getting harder to come by. As it is, our tumbled stones are, beginning this weekend, $2.00 ea. We are not happy about this, but we are still below the average price of $3.00 to $5.00 per stone. We are continuing to hold down prices on all other specimens even though prices from our suppliers have gone up across the board. We believe in quality of customer service rather than making every last penny...

Hey folks: We have confirmed a vending date at the Mount Hope Antique Faire & Flea, located at the renaissance faire grounds in Manheim. It will be July 17th. We will also be vending at the Philadelphia Pagan Pride event on September 4th. We anticipate having our shop at the Newberry Peddlers market, open as well on July 17th...

So, at some point, I am going to have to take the checkbook away from Momma T. But for now we are just having too much fun with our African order. We recently added 2 large Natural Kyanite In Fuchsite Specimens. One of these may not make it to the shop. Some very cool Polished Banded Agate Slices of various sizes. And some Tiger Eyes slabs polished on one side. We are expecting this order in January. But until then, we will keep adding in some really sweet specimens from the land of Africa. The mine owner that we purchase from is affiliated with UNESCO. And so all of our offerings are sourced ethically...

Hey folks; If you love home-made soups, then this is for you. Out at the Newberrytown Peddlers market, a wide variety of home-made soups are made during Soup Fest. The Soup Fest runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dates for Soup Fest are: Dec. 5,19 Jan. 9,23 Feb. 13,27 Mar. 13,27... April 10,24. I personally love these soups. So there you go folks... Stay Safe...

Hey folks: Next weekend we will have more Onyx Doves on a Branch as well as some Onyx Keepsake Boxes available. Selenite towers will also be back in stock. And finally, we have some of that beautiful Tricolor Calcite that will be available. Our African order is progressing right nicely. Some of the items that will be coming are Purpurite, polished Malachite in jewelry making size, a couple of large Botryoidal Malachite's. As well as some beautiful Chevron Amethyst spheres, some very cool Natural White Spine Ammonite Fossils, some Natural Mixed Quartz Crystals and much more.
